The V4 and V3 pro have that capability, I forgot what they call it, but it has been there for a while now.
Firefox on Windows also has it. I don’t know about Chrome.
Nice to hear,
I stopped buying at V3, V3 pan
When the last V3 is replaced they’ll all be Reolink’s
about 24 to go
It also runs on a client on a PC locally or remotely, where there is no app or client from Wyze for PC or TV’s
I don’t recall seeing it in Cam v4 when I first bought a few and set them up, but I commented on this when I noticed it several months ago. I think maybe it was a feature they added some time after launch.
I can’t comment on that as mine had it since I bough it. Personally I find it useless and have it disabled.
EDIT: Now, if it worked on my Mac might’ve been useful as the monitor has more real estate.
Maybe it was a late addition to Android? Or possibly I just didn’t notice it when I first set the cameras up. Seemed like one day it appeared on the live view pane icon overlay interface, up near the funky portrait/landscape toggle. Then I think around the same time or shortly thereafter the similar-looking Smart Focus icon lost its “Beta” label (at least that’s my recollection).
So much of the app seems to be dependent on back-end stuff that I feel like that’s where they frequently make changes that have the potential to introduce new features (and also break things).
I haven’t had much cause to use it so far, but I could potentially see it being more useful if I had cameras mounted outdoors with wider views or possibly on a doorbell camera. It’s cool that it’s an option, though.
I’ve had my V4 since May last year, did you get yours before that?
Options are good I guess
Yeah, most of the newer cams do. Haven’t paid close attention to track all of the ones that do, but I have definitely also used it on the floodlight Pro and battery cam Pro models as well as the v4 and V3Pro. Probably others too, I only really use it sometimes as a baby monitor during naps.
Nope, I started using some in June.
Interesting, maybe I’ve forgotten that it wasn’t there in the beginning
Or, like I’ve said before, maybe it was there and took me a while to notice.
I just didn’t recall them mentioning that feature for that camera anywhere in their marketing (they seemed to make a big deal about the PiP feature for Cam OG and Cam OG Telephoto when those came out, but those are in-app only and work differently), so to me it seemed like a back-end addition post-launch (like the way the Smart Focus thing changed), but I really don’t know for sure.
