Outdoor plugs, schedule works on 1 plug and not the 2nd plug

You might report it as a bug in the firmware which it clearly is. I did and eventually got “sorry you are out of warranty in the end” But maybe you with a brand new could report it?

They released a firmware update .336 I am still testing but think this might have solved the problem.

I updated mine yesterday. I will disable my rules tonight to see if it is back to normal.

Sorry it did not work or fix the problem for me. The release notes did not mention it at all. Lights on second plug did not come on. I expect the problem still exists.

I concur, problem still exist. At least rules work until bug is fixed!

336 didn’t solve the problem. I have been working with support and just submitted a log today.

updated to .336 - now on one unit, plug 1 runs the schedule normally, the 2nd plug will no longer run the programed schedule.

on a second unit also updated to .336 - there is no schedule on that one, I leave it on and manually turn it on an off. now it turns off on its own (plug one), plug 2 doesn’t see follow the programed shcedule

I am not sure if my other 5 units are affected the same way as I use them mainly as a manual wifi switch, although one of them really struggles to connect to the internet even though it in direct line of site of the router.

Add one my person to the list - same problem. Plug 1 works fine, but Plug 2 will not use the schedule that I had previously created.

I concur, it’s got to be the latest update. Hopefully Tech Support will forward on the the coders and get this resolved.

Used a work-around as mentioned here with the Rules.

I’m having the same issues and came here to see if I could find someone else with same trouble–and I did. I noticed it with time change. We have Govee outdoor lighting and I use one Wyze outdoor plug to control two Govee outdoor lighting power supplies. When time change happened I noticed lights were not on when we came home. When I went into the Wyze outdoor plugs schedules both the start time and end times had jumped an hour off. I thought this is a pain, but ok I’ll fix the times (even though I never had to do this with my other indoor power plugs using rules.) When I updated the schedules and then it said there was a firmware update which I let it install. I thought the firmware update was to fix the time jumping an hour when there is a time change–but then I couldn’t get things all working again. I’ve factory reset the outdoor plug and reset it all back up–but the second plug does not follow the schedule. I will try to submit a trouble ticket also on this.

I never had issues with my Wyze Plug Outdoor schedule until I updated to .336 firmware. Now when I set my schedule for Plug2, Plug 2 does not turn on but Plug 1 does instead. Please Wyze send out a firmware update to fix the scheduler.

Is anyone in the string hearing anything from Wyze??

Not a word.

Not a peep from them. I made mine work with a couple of rules, so at least they work until a fix is ever supplied.

I have 20 outdoor plugs in my house, none of them is not working anymore. The latest updates didnt fix it. Some devices were still working properly until time changed. Wyze devices changed the schedules for some reason after time change on 1 hour ahead. I have to ajust all schedulea again. After i ajusted it, they all stoped wirking. Some of them can be turned on only and never turned off. Today my rare rhinoceros iguana almost died becaise the wyze timer turned on the mist in the tank and never turned off, the tank was full water water from mist, the iguana had no air to breath and the overmoisten caused electrical sparked in heating lightball, almost caused the fire in my house! I contacted wyze support 5 moths ago when the issues started, they opened the claim with no timefarme to resolve, like they always do! All of my wyze flood cameras dont record the sound anymore like 2 years alreday. I filed the claim with tech support 1 tear ago, nothing fixed. Looks like all wyze devices became useless now, they have to compensate it!

One of mine is now exhibiting this strange behavior…it appears the scheduling that is local to the device is screwed up however if you create a schedule rule, it works.
This particular outdoor plug is my oldest one…activated 3/2022 and has firmware 1.2.0.336.

Same issue here. Submitted logs almost a week ago, 0 responses or acknowledgements from Wyze. Not what I expect from this company that is still thriving…maybe.

I submitted my logs on the 14th. I got a confirmation email that asked me to add my log id to the original support ticket. After that I got a very nice email from wyze support thanking me and saying engineering is working on it.

@WyzeJasonJ can this be looked into. Having the same issue and seems like this is a growing issue.

Just installed the Wyze outdoor plug for a fountain. The device will not hold schedules or rules. Followed all reset protocols. Still does not hold schedules. Wi-fi is good and the device does respond to the on/off request from the app. According to Wyze, the plug should hold the schedules even without internet. My issue is that Wyze should not be selling this plug until the issues are fixed and should consider a recall if they can’t fix their products.

Added a post on this thread,

I made a post, if you give my post a heart maybe it will get there attention.
