I’m having an issue where the schedule is not working on the outdoor plug. I had a simple rule set up to turn on at sunset and turn off at sunrise. For some reason it will not work. Seems pretty simple, but I can’t figure it out anybody have any suggestions
Welcome to the Forum, @ChadMarino!
When you say “simple rule” are you actually using Automations with your Plug Outdoor, or are you using Local Schedules in the Plug Outdoor’s settings? If you can attach a screenshot demonstrating what it is you’ve done that you expect to work, then that might provide a good starting point for others to assist you.
More details…does it not turn on or not turn off or neither? Have you tried two schedules one for on, one for off?
Thanks for posting a picture. That’s helpful, and a few things come to mind:
- It doesn’t appear that the Local Schedule you’re showing is saved. If it was, then you should see something to the right of both Turn on at and Turn off at, like Sunrise or Sunset or a time.
- Some users have reported for several months that sometimes a Local Schedule will work with one socket but not the other of a Plug Outdoor. Until Wyze addresses and remediates this issue, the recommended work-around seems to be using Schedule-type Automations (from the Wyze app’s Home screen, tap the upper-right ➜ Automation ➜ Schedule and add your Plug Outdoor actions and schedule there). Note that Automations run from Wyze’s servers and require an Internet connection. Local Schedules do not, which is why certain use cases may work better with one path versus the other.
If you could provide more detail, as @WildBill requested, about the problem, what you’re trying to accomplish, and what troubleshooting you’ve attempted so far, then that might help us to provide better assistance.
