Notification not working when doorbell pressed

I don’t think so, I’m having the same issue an up I said it wasn’t working too, I have a moto g200 5G and my wife has a moto g60, both are not working

Also,
Pixel 6a (wife’s device) - Doorbell button Notification NOT working

OnePlus Nord 2T (Android 12): Doorbell button Notification NOT working
OnePlus 6: Doorbell button Notification NOT working
Oneplus 5T: Doorbell button Notification NOT working

From what I have learnt online, only apple devices are working fine.

Thanks

Amar

Great data reporting everyone! This is what the Devs will need to narrow down the conflict.

From other threads in the forum, the doorbell is not the only device affected. It has also been reported and is being investigated on other devices. The Pixel w\ Android 13 has been the frontrunner affected, but there are others. It is not affecting all Android 13 builds though.

Some requests:

If you could, please edit your original posts above to include the doorbell Firmware version you currently have installed, the App Version. And the OS version.

When testing this, so that everyone is on the same page, please make sure VOIP is disabled, App Push Notifications are enabled and not muted, Doorbell Notifications are enabled, and that you have Running in the Background checked in the App Settings.

Lastly, does anyone have a Customer Support Ticket number from an encounter where this issue was reported?

Pixel 7, Android 13, security update Jan 5, 2023
Wyze App version: v2.38.0 (153)
Doorbell Firmware: 4.25.1.314

I also figured out I cannot sync time with doorbellpro, but sync works with the cams, Cam V3 and panscan V2. All cams have the latest firmware.

I second the request for more info. All very important points to also state as the device model alone doesn’t tell the full story. Thanks all! :+1:

OnePlus Nord 2T
OS: Oxygen OS 12.1
Android 12
App version: 2.38.0 (153)
Wyze doorbell (wired): version 4.25.1.314

Doorbell notification: not working
Motion notification: working fine

Pixel 5 - Doorbell button Notification NOT working
Android version: 13
Build Number: TP1A.221105.002
Wyze App version: 2.38.0.153
Doorbell (wired) firmware version: 4.25.1.314

Glad I came across this thread. Just purchased the doorbell without knowing this issue. Not a deal breaker but hopefully this issue gets resolved soon. Like many others, pressing doorbell doesn’t do anything here. VOIP works though.

Is there a ETA or any updates from dev?

Firmware version: 4.25.1.314
App Version: v2.38.0 (153)
Phone model: Samsung S22 Ultra

[Wyze Ticket 2577652] We’re working on your request: Log ID 827428

I submitted the ticket # to have Wyze take a look at it. Thx!

Hello! so good news here. I was talking to one of the customer support agent and her instruction fixed my notification issue. Don’t just restart the doorbell, completely power it off! Now i’m able to get “someone is calling you at the door” notification without VOIP enabled.

  1. Power cycle the doorbell. Flip the breaker switch that is powering the doorbell to the “off” position, wait 10 full seconds, flip the breaker switch back to the “on” position.

  2. Reboot router.

Thanks Makie C and hope this works for you guys too!

I submitted this ongoing issue in this month’s Fix-it-Friday thread for you guys here:

That is awesome news! Hopefully that is all it will take. Will wait for some others to test this out and post back in results. Thanks for sharing that!

Just installed my doorbell today. Same issue as others. Thanks for the thread.

Does flipping the breaker power cycle the doorbell if the batteries are still in the unit?

How are the batteries removed?

I would take the batteries out

Steps did not work for me

The steps DID work for me.

To confirm, turn off voip so it’s standard notification only. Turn off breaker, wait 10 seconds, then turn on breaker.

Reboot wireless router.

Wait for everything to connect again, then tried the doorbell and got the notification.
