Is CPL - with the cams currently allowed - revenue neutral or positive?
If not at least neutral, will Wyze ever remove the pay-what-you-want-including-nothing option in favor of paying-at-minimum-what-it-costs Wyze?
It is just marketing bs, on these cams you will never ever get person notification the moment person enters fov.
for example on old 1st gen blinks there was a little like spotlight led, worked reliably, instantaneously on any person because of pir sensor.
on these cams for this functionality, some āgeniusā figured they need location services enabled so they know where you are but even then it wonāt work as should.
Cam Plus Lite option remains as-is after the Big Reveal (according to Dave in the video):

No explanation from support. I was trying get them to resolve my home monitoring issues. Seems all subscription where removed from my account including cam plus lite and no refunds or contact made to me about it. Iām not the only one with this problem.

I came across that page last month and didnāt realize it was no longer offered, bought 4 new cameras on sale, only to find out I canāt get CPL. All the youtube videos I watched comparing cameras were full of info and comments from people raving about how you could just signup for CPL, so have to think that there are lots of people like me are going to go out and buy the cameras unaware that they canāt get it. People online who already have it, also keep saying itās a thing that is available, presumably unaware that only they can see it and not new users, confusing everyone.
I get that it needs to be economically viable, but as a customer still feel deceived. If there was a plan that was affordable for multiple cameras Iād get that, but $100/year is way too much. I need something for $50/annually or less. Now my option is to keep the cameras and be annoyed by the stupid in-your-face āwant to actually see the damn event? CLICK HERE for a stupid expensive subscription you donāt wantā or return them which will probably just go into a landfill,
I wonder why you donāt consider microSD cards as another option. I realize that involves another purchase, but itās a one-time cost (per camera) and not an ongoing subscription which you say youād be willing to pay at some level.
Iām occasionally annoyed at the pushes for subscriptions, too, but I have a choice not to subscribe, and Iām exercising that option with my cameras. The ability to have my own local storage on microSD cards is a draw for me, and I have no problems seeing the captured events I want to see.

I bit on the current sale and am returning to this topic because of my experience with my first Cam v4, which is prompting me to once again ask @WyzeMatt for clarification of his previous comments:

Umā¦āthe sameā as what? When I initially read this response, my interpretation was that Cam v4 with Edge AI does on-device Person Detection and also generates āPerson Detectedā notificationsā¦without a subscription. In my testing so far, this does not seem to be the case, despite Wyzeās messaging that indicates it should be, as I described in another topic.
Wyzeās own messaging about the Cam v4ās included features is mixed, to say the least. The Features section of the product page says that it has
Person Detection and more
With Cam Plus, you get unlimited video length storage and advanced AI detection.
and further down the page is this:
While every Wyze Cam has Motion Detection, our plans get you more detections such as Person, Pet, Package, and Vehicle detection.
Even on that single page my impression is that the communication about the Person Detection feature is unclear.
I still like the camera and plan to use it, but at this point Iām genuinely disappointed in Wyzeās inconsistent messaging about the cameraās features, and I feel misled about the availability of the Person Detection feature as described in various Wyze communications. I realize that they have other responsibilities, and I imagine that those have kept @WyzeJasonJ from recent Fix-It Friday updates, but I hope that @WyzeMatt and/or @WyzeJasonJ could provide a clear answer to this issue and then follow that by making sure other Wyze messaging (e.g., links to product and Support pages Iāve provided in my posts) is consistent.

Iām not holding my breath, but I would like a straight answer about Person Detection events and notifications with Edge AI on Cam v4. This inconsistent messaging (about whether a subscription is actually required or not) is mildly infuriating. 
Despite that, itās cool to be able to get it (at the time of this writing[1]) for only a single 
more than Cam OG, and I like my OG so much that I was pondering more of those before the sale.

Yes they do say it does have Edge AI but they didnāt advertise it like they did with the V3 Pro. ?

I understand that the Cam v3 Pro product page and the āAbout Wyze Cam v3 Proā Support article are more explicit in their descriptions of āFree person detectionā, and the first image you shared appears to be from the āIntroducing Wyze Cam v4ā Support article, whereāat the very leastāthis statement seems to strongly imply (if not outright state) an equivalence in that feature on both cameras:
Edge AI Person Detection is included with Wyze Cam v4 and Wyze Cam v3 Pro, powered by the camerasā on-board chip, rather than relying on the cloud.
I donāt have any personal experience with Cam v3 Pro. What Iām seeking is clarification because the messaging from Wyze isnāt adding up, and my experience with Cam v4 so far with respect to this feature isnāt what I expected as a customer.
Itās true V4/V3 pro has person detection on chip, but I think whatās being asked is: will it send notification without subscription? Also, will this feature add value to a Cam PLus subscription?

Thatās a good question, too. It isnāt exactly what Iām asking, but Iād appreciate an answer to that question, as well. My experience so far is that Cam v4 without a Cam Plus subscription doesnāt do person detection at all. I havenāt been able to get the camera to tag me as a person. Itās just reporting generic motion events. Those are useful, but actual Person Detection would be more useful, and Wyzeās messaging seems unclear about what my expectation as a user should be.
Iāve read (in the other topic linked from my earlier post) that Cam v3 Proās Person Detection had (or possibly has) a flaw of tagging events as āPerson Detectedā but not actually generating notifications to that effect, so I kind of wonder if this feature is broken on that camera, too, but I have none of those to test.
Iām curious: Are you saying that you donāt see any advantage to Edge AI with Person Detection or that you donāt see any advantage to Cam Plus or something else? Iām guessing that you mean the former, which would make sense if youāre already getting person detection through Wyze Cloud AI because of your Cam Plus subscription, but Iād appreciate some elaboration, because I want to make sure I understand what you mean.
The V3 Pro says it does. I have both a V3 PRo and a V4 but they are on cam unlimited and I donāt want to take them off and try it.
I canāt test it either because I have Cam Plus and Wyze disabled the ability to remove a camera from Cam Plus.
What I meant that I donāt see any advantage (in my case, but others may find it different), is that my installed V4 functions exactly like the V3 it replaced. I still get the same events, the same notifications.
I donāt use its spot light, same with the V3 with a spot light attachment it replaced. I get the same live view just as fast as the V3. The only improvement I see is better detail (due higher resolution). I donāt see āSmart Focusā because I donāt do (Wyze) beta.
