Introducing the new Wyze Scale Ultra Bodyscan and Wyze Scale X Butterfly!
Wyze Scale Ultra Bodyscan brings professional-grade precision right at home with our eight smart electrodes to measure your arms, legs, and torso individually.
Wyze Scale X Butterfly brings a fresh look to the Wyze Scale X which was named 2025 best Smart Scale by NYT Wirecutter.
I know it at least uses both 20kHz and 100 kHz during BIA measurements. It might also use some of the other frequencies as well, but someone from Wyze would have to confirm everything they use. I just know it is multiple and that those 2 frequencies are definitely included among them.
Can I just say how excited I am that these new comparison charts for all the scales are basically announcing that Wyze is now upgrading their support from the deprecated Google Fit to the new Health Connect!!! (Android’s newest updated health info management system)
There are so many reasons to be excited about this update! It will give us the ability to allow whatever measurements we want to be shared with other health apps or even our care providers! It should also make it possible to have updates for more than just weight be given to health sync! I’m excited for the possibility that other measurements (day percentage, etc) can now be stored outside of the Wyze app! This is really exciting for me!
Will this launch have an associated Reddit AMA with any Product Managers? I’m interested in learning more about this product and potentially having some other ongoing scale issues addressed.
Any chance that the Wyze App will be updated to allow data to be exported from it? Right now it looks like it supports Health Connect, but nothing gets exported. I have one of the older Wyze scales. Thanks.
I misspoke when used the word “exported”. Right now the wyze app doesn’t seem to send weight information to health connect. I get it from other sources, just not from the Wyze app.
Oh, okay, so you’re asking more about a direct third-party integration with older Wyze Scale models? That makes more sense. For Scale S, within Scale Settings, I see Authorize 3rd Party Apps. That gives me choices for Health Connect and Fitbit, but I don’t use either of those platforms, so I haven’t ever tried enabling those, and I don’t know what’s available in other Scales’ settings.
Yeah, I only see Google Fit and FitBit. (see below). The model of the Wyze Scale that I have is WHSCL1. I don’t know what general name it has. I don’t see Health Connect – I wish I did because that’s what I think I need.
That’s the original according to the “Tech specs” section of its product page.
Even Wyze’s own marketing surrounding Scale Ultra BodyScan isn’t consistent about whether the Google integration is for Fit or Health Connect:
The graphic would maybe indicate both (at least both are mentioned), so some clarification from Wyze on this—and whether or not these should/do extend to older Scale models—would be appreciated. Thanks for raising this.
I just responded about the extent of my experience in your other thread:
As I mentioned, I haven’t really looked at our verified the other models [yet], though I do have the original scale, scale X, and ultra scales, I haven’t verified if they support health connect yet, but I thought I saw in a support article that most of the scales were supposed to support health connect now or soon. If it’s not showing up in the settings for third party apps, we may need to pass that on to an employee with a link to the support article indicating they should now be supporting it on those models. I’d have to find that comparison chart that implied it should be supported now.
