Step up to an ultra-new way to track your health. Wyze Scale Ultra measures 13 body composition metrics and displays more data than ever on a huge 4.3-inch TFT screen. Connect to Wi-Fi for easy data syncs to your favorite fitness apps, without your phone nearby. Full-surface glass sensors, smart user recognition and long-lasting battery life make this scale a must-have tool for your fitness journey.
Looks good. Ordered it. Maybe it will show I’m losing weight
I still dig my Scale S. I use that daily (and Pet Mode weekly). The addition of a Wi-Fi connection is intriguing, though….
The wifi was deal sealer for me. Been using a WHSCL1 for a couple of years. The Bluetooth is a bit on the dicey side. I may check the scale once a week and maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 times it cannot connect. Of course if I go next to it, it connects every time. 2 drywalls in the way. Wifi should not have this issue.
I (probably too often) have my electronic tether device (i.e., phone) with me in the loo, so I don’t really try to connect to the Scale S when I’m not actually near it, plus when I do that because I want it to sync, I also want to compare the number I’m seeing on the scale’s display with what the app shows me.
Not that I don’t trust it or anything….
The Wi-Fi does seem like a cool feature, though, especially if that allows the Scale Ultra to have a more seamless connection to third-party fitness apps.
Does it have a camera so I can see if I can see past my stomach?
Ultra. Amazing.
My mechanical scale is on the fritz, but it was a heavy-duty accurate model when it was new. For those with the original Wyze scale, what’s the accuracy like?
Mine is still spot on (within .5% of my 2 Scale S models and a Scale X).
I cannot remember if I have had one or two wyze scales, different models.
My procedure when placing a new scale is:
If the original scale still works I compare the original scale weight reading with the new scale. Acceptable tolerance is 1 or 2lbs (I’m 200lbs). I do not track the other parameters as they are all based on some resistance reading between your feet.
As a final test, over the course of a day, I will weigh myself multiple times. I expect the readings to be consistent. In my existing (and maybe previous scale) Wyze has excelled. I typically see a +/- variation of about a 1/2 lb.
I see a difference after an extended bathroom visit.
My wife, bless her for putting up with me, looks at me strangely and asks "why are you replacing the doorbell and scale every year?)
I answer. “discretionary income”.
She then quips “our parents had the same doorbell and scale for 50 years”
I’ve learned there is a time to stay quiet.
Good answers from both you and the wife.
Since Scale Ultra does Wi-Fi, now what it really needs is some options in Automations:
- IF
- Wyze Scale Ultra
- [unnamed Forum user’s significant other] weight > [choose Wyzely…be careful]
- Wyze Scale Ultra
- DO
- Whole House Wyze Bulb Color Group
- Color Blink ff0000[1]
- Wyze Wi-Fi Chime
- Sound the alarm! (I suggest something like )
- Whole House Wyze Bulb Color Group

If only things lasted that long today!
I love your automation.
But… Tha scale should communicate with the “Wyze Refrigerator”
When weight exceeded, and refrigerator door open, fridge should have an appropriate message such as:
“You don’t need need that pastrami sandwich, have a low cal yogurt instead”.
I digress. Time to be quiet!!
If it doesn’t sync with Garmin Connect it’s dead to me. In all fairness, I already have a Wyze Scale and I wish it would sync with Garmin.
Years ago, my younger son was tasked with going door to door selling candy bars for a school thing. He was in the process of doing business with a neighbor lady when her husband came around the corner and asked what she was buying. She said “a candy bar.” He said “you don’t need that.”
Of course she bought the candy bar and there was silence in that house the rest of the day.
My new favorite saying “Sometimes being helpful is being quiet”.
For those interested. Wyze Scale Ultra just appeared on Amazon.
Ordered. Will be here tomorrow.
Let us know how the Automation works out.
