Was advised of new firmware for one of my cameras (4.9.6.191) so went thru the normal update process. Came back about 10 minutes later to see the camera was off-line with the light on the back of the camera flashing yellow and blue. On my phone I am getting the message “Device is offline, (error code 90)”
I have power cycled a few times, no change.
Any suggestions?
Same problem here. All 5 cameras offline and won’t connect
@peejayw Device is offline (error code 90) Please check your internet connection or power cycle the camera. Which you’ve done but maybe power down for a longer time.
That failing you may have to do a manual reload of the firmware.
How to FLASH manually
@rhyyys Unplug all the cameras and power down the internet router for 10 minutes. Power up one camera and try connect. If that doesn’t work may have to manual flash the firmware.
Not seeing any issues on mine upgraded to .191 on V2s, .175 on base, or .173 on WCO… 14 have upgraded fine so far. I have 23 cameras between two locations
One of mine indicated Failed but unplugged it for a few minutes and came up with new FW loaded and working. Was at the edge of WiFi range.
Fortunately all upgraded fine.

I don’t see any updated release notes for WCO & Base
Still same release:
4.17.0.159 (September 9, 2020) WOC
4.16.0.168 (September 9, 2020) Base
I reflashed the firmware manually but still not working, The light is still flashing blue/orange.
I just checked the bridge firmware, it says 0.0.0.33.
Upgraded two V2 cams and a PanCam from 4.9.6.156 to 4.93.191; all failed and connections lost. I’ve cycled power on network and cameras and force quit the IOS app but have not done the firmware upgrade. I took one of them to my desk for more troubleshooting and noticed a clicking sound. Then noticed the status light was doing an eight-minute cycle from solid yellow, the blinking ones, solid blue, then off, and repeats. The camera is also very hot (107 F) so I’m guessing it’s trying again and again to do the upgrade and failing.
I will next try replacing the firmware on the pan cam.
Yep same problem for me, reddit users posting similar issue. Feels like I’ve bricked my cameras
IIRC… I upgraded all of mine from (beta .188) on V2 and Pan on mine
I even rolled the dice and updated 11 cameras at my cabin a couple hundred miles away… all came up fine but I didn’t make as significant of a jump to .191. My WCO and base were from last release though.
@tgamo When you say, “Upgraded two V2 cams and a PanCam from 4.9.6.156 to 4.93.191” Was that my manually flashed with the SD card & renamed file?
e.g. Holding down the setup button while plug in the USB power cable and continue holding down the reset button until blue light, then release?
@rhyys & @tgamo Downloading correct version for ea. cam?
4.10.6.191 (September 30, 2020) Pan
4.9.6.191 (September 30, 2020) V2
Same problem with my V2 cameras all failed update. Lights go from yellow to flashing blue, IR lights are also coming on. Have started to manually flash back to old firmware. 2 Camera’s flashed back 6 to go which won’t be easy as they are outside in cases which have been silicon sealed arghhhhhh
I have been in touch with Wyze but issue has not yet been resolved. My camera shows it is still on .156 so the new firmware never loaded, something in the update process has broken it. Talking to the help desk, I tried adding a new camera, it reads the QR code then scans but is unable to connect.
I foolishly decided to try upgrading my other camera and the same thing has happened. There is something wrong with the update process, I just hope it has not bricked my cameras.
You will be ok download previous version of firmware install to SD. Then wait for Wyze to fix this issue before attempting OTA upgrade again https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031490871-How-to-flash-firmware-manually
The firmware never installed, its on .156 and wont connect now.
