My Wyze V3 camera wont connect with internet. I have changed the frequency to 2.4ghz. What do I do ?
Welcome to the Forum, @Hauser!
Providing more detail about where the setup/connection process is failing, any troubleshooting you’ve already attempted, and/or equipment you’re using would be a good start. Information about your router and ISP might be useful, because some users have reported problems with certain devices and service providers in the past. In general, being descriptive about a problem can help you to receive the best assistance.
Having said that, two things come to mind. One is this topic:
Another thought relates to your comment:
What, precisely, do you mean by that? While I don’t have a Cam v3 (but do use Cam Pan v3) and haven’t experienced this particular problem with this device, I have had difficulty getting some stubborn IoT devices to connect to home Wi-Fi in the past, and in those cases what I’ve done is to disable the 5 GHz Wi-Fi radios on my home network and every 2.4 GHz radio except for the one on my gateway (my primary wireless access point).[1] I also take the device into the same room as the gateway and turn off mobile data on my phone so that I’m forcing my phone to use that access point’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi as its only pathway out to the Internet.
Hopefully doing things like that would allow your camera to connect and then you can relocate it after you get it added to the app. If trying things like that—or even sometimes trying with a different phone—don’t work, then please post back with more details about your problem and what you’ve attempted so far.
This is only temporary. Once I get the troublesome device connected to my network for its initial configuration, I then re-enable any other Wi-Fi radios I was using on my LAN before. ↩︎
