Major issues with Wyze Cam Pan v3

Updated all outdoor cameras to Wyze Cam Pan v3 and it’s been downhill ever since. Can’t view cameras on app without either 1) constant “loading live stream” until connection fail, or 2) if it does work for a few minutes, once you try to pan camera or view recording, it freezes.

I’ve invested in a lot of wyze equipment and I’m about to get rid of it all if this isn’t fixed soon.

After calling support, they blamed poor wifi but even after upgraded router and extenders, the issue still exists.

Firmware version: 4.50.4.7252

While I’m at it, the update to review “free” recorded footage is difficult to find. I prefer the original view.

Please help resolve these issues or I’m done.

As part of our Fix-It Friday, we have been looking into connection issues on this camera. Here is the update we made last Friday and also a link to the thread where the new update will go this Friday.

Just got my Wyze Pan V3 and have been having constant trouble with the recording of any past events. I have a new SD card and it’s just not recording events for me to look at.

Keeps saying no video at the selected time, but I can SEEEEE the activity, so why isn’t it capturing it?

I am also using the Firmware version: 4.50.4.7252. get Failed to load from Local storage or No Video at selected time

Im also using the same firmware and get those same messages and it was a brand new wyze sd card i use.

It’s getting really bad after sometime and see same problem you described above. Not recording a videos events or couldn’t see

I’m about ready to ditch these cameras. Inconsistent as hell! Definitely not for me. I dont have time to be IT support for this system. I replaced the outdoor wifi ones with a couple of the v3’s hoping the hard wired ilone would have less issues, not! I do all the uodates and still have loading live feed issues or they can’t connect. Its totally random. How do you talk to a person, not a bot?

I have had NOTHING but trouble since buying my cam pan v3. Ive gone through 2. My first one would not update or pan scan at all. Got ahold of support they sent a new one. Upon receiving my 2nd one the update has never gone through so im 2 versions behind. Now my camera will not pan scan at all, still havent gotten the update, doesnt pick up faces or recognize faces ever, and i cant watch my live playback stream.. im super annoyed with Wyze and to get ahold of someone in support it takes days for them to get back to you…

I’m having the exact same issue with mine as well. I guess I’m not the only one.

Pan Cam 3 is junk. I had one and it quit working which they replaced. Right after 1 year the 2nd one died. I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Can I run two wyze cams, not pan v3, off the same usb feed? And is there a splitter that would work there? I’m thinking of replacing my pan v3 with 2 OG or V4 on my driveway

The OG “stack kit” comes with a 1500ma adapter and a USB splitter (plus a bracket to attach the two cams together if you want to). The power supply and cable would probably work fine for the v4 also but I’d probably use a 2000mA one (like the one from your Panv3) with the splitter cable to be safe.

You can also find USB and micro USB splitters on amazon and other places that will work too.

Is Fix-It-Friday ever coming back? Even Fix-It-Frida would be nice.

Jason said yes. He wants to do it, he is just waiting for Wyze to figure out more help for him so that he has time to do these extra things again.
