I have five V3 cams all using 4.36.17..10 since it was available in August without any issues. I also use the iOS app. I do think there are some other post on the forum where other members have reported issues, need to look around to see if I can find some.
There is discussion on this thread about v3 firmware problems. Firmware 4.36.17..10 is working fine for me.
I have been delaying installing the 4.36.16.7064 due to past history with updated and now I find that auto update has installed it even though I had switched it off.
Luckily there had been no problems with this update.
All mine are working fine but they must have stopped the firmware for a good reason.
They probably looked back at their past problems
I find it worrying that I feel I have to wait to see if any problems arrive before installing a new update
I usually wait 4 or 5 days and read the the forum comments prior to any firmware upgrade. I have auto update turned off on all cams and have never had one update on it’s own.
Roll the dice.

I’ve just cancelled my unlimited subscription - the problem is wondering what Wyze will mess up next is not worth paying the money every year.
My subscription expires at the end of November which coincides with me moving house. I was going to take my 11 V3s with me but I think I will have a change to something else and I won’t need so many cams in the new house
I do the same. When I do take a chance updating firmware, I start with my inside garage v3. I only power it on in the App to make sure my garage door stays shut. If I notice flakey new firmware on my garage door v3, it is a bug I can live with until Wyze fixes it.
Go and try it yourself, why do you have to rely on others !!!
The whole idea of a forum is for people to share knowledge and help each othe
Exactly, so why don’t you try it first and other people can ask you if it works this way if it doesn’t work your cameras get screwed up instead of you relying on others to have their cameras screwed up! I mean, just sayn’ lol
You seem to be in a bad mood.
The is no need for aggressive language
Do what you want and I will do what I want
In the old Wild West days, there were Pioneers and Settlers. Everyone could choose which they wanted to be. Generally, the Pioneers were the ones with arrows in their backs.
And the settlers were the ones who provided food and stability to build on the achievements of the pioneers
I prefer the happy medium, pick one cam that isn’t as important, upgrade it, monitor for a week or two., do the rest if all is well. Everyone uses them differently, one person might find it perfectly fine, another may find a major bug, so I want to see it in my environment. I generally follow that model with anything that I have multiple of. For things I only have one of and are somewhat important (router, etc) then let the people who like testing and tinkering (and aren’t as reliant on that router) try it out first.
It is so sad that we cannot trust updates from Wyze
