I updated all my v3 cameras to 4.36.17.19 today. I have Auto Updates Off. Live View, SD card playback and Viewing Cloud Event videos (all the basic stuff) is working fine for me.
The V4 firmware is available for me, but no V3 firmware just yet. Updating both of my V4s as I type this.
No joy via bulk update or by viewing live feed and attempting to update there. It has been 15 minutes and they are still “updating”. Time to power off and on and try again.
Actually, I’ll just let them sit. They will auto power off and on in several hours via my WYZE plug schedules. I’ll see if the cams still work in the morning or if I have 2 new paper weights.
Cameras were not up to date this morning, but they were working. Instead of using the bulk update, I updated each camera individually. My two v4’s are now fully patched and functioning. No time to test things, but if I notice issues I will report back.
Glad to hear you got your v4 cameras working. I always update one camera at a time. I test my least important v3 that Live View, SD card playback and Viewing Cloud Event videos is working on the new firmware, then update individually my other four v3 cameras.
That’s the loop that mine were in as well. When I went to bed last night they had been updating for well over an hour. At some point the update must have timed out. Not sure when that was as my cameras also power cycle each night in the early AM hours. When I woke up at 6am neither camera was up to date, but both were functioning. I then updated each one by going into the camera itself and the updates took.
I wish there was a global/account setting to disable auto-updates. Instead, you have to go into each camera one by one. I have read multiple times where people disabled auto-updates, then some time later they were re-enabled. That is NOT COOL to say the least. I have not personally bumped into that issue.
I guess it is good news I never got that V3 Pro firmware 4.58.17.10, and that the fixed version 4.58.17.19 should come soon. All my V3 Pros are still at 4.58.16.7064. All my V3 and V4 cameras are up-to-date now. We don’t use audio so we never noticed the noise issue.
Did Wyze pull the update? My cameras are no longer showing one update is available and the latest version showing as up to date is the previous one 4.52.9.6119
Yesterday I received a prompt on my Android phone to update the V4 … I cancelled since I wanted to update later … but later when I went to the V4 Firmware page it did not offer the update … maybe because I have Auto Updates turned OFF??
Today I received a prompt on my iPad to update the V4 and I accepted … the update processed OK.
I updated my pan v3 and it’s still not loading the sd card, before it would load for a few secs then I would have to restart the device for it to work agaon but now the card won’t load at all
