We want a wyze dashcam not this lol
Not the way I read it then or now. ![]()
And itâs not personal. Space heaters are a potential danger regardless of who makes them or how automated they are.
Okay, I have a few more practical questions about the safe.
1, How sturdy is it really? How does it stand up to a drop test?
2. How reliable is the lock and latch?
3. Will they start shipping right away, as Jimmy said in his last pre-order email?
App, on my phone? unlock History? Does this data make it back to Wyze Servers? Where is the unlock data stored?
Does this integrate with the current Wyze App?

Here are some instructional videos that show some more of the function youâre referring to.
Shorter intro and set up video from Wyze.
Way more in depth on all things Wye Safe. Only review vid Iâve seen so far.
Thanks for sharing the videos. I LOVED his idea for making certain things waterproof or fireproof with this. You can get something like that Fullive bag which was only like $20 for 2 of them, that you can store anything in them to make them waterproof and fireproof inside the safe. That is a great idea! The fireproof thing was the only thing I was concerned about, but that solves the concern for me.

Placed an order yesterday, being delivered tomorrow per my updates. ![]()
Can you run a drop test when you get it and let me know the results? ![]()
Do the safe meet TSA security requirements?

Based on the video I watched, it does NOT meet the TSA requirements.
Going to need an app update to set up your safe (biometric and keypad entry and other goodies). Without an app update, youâll only be able to use as a normal safe with key entry. A supporting update should be pushed out today or tomorrow. ![]()
Hopefully they update the beta app too. I just placed my order for the safe. ![]()
I donât own a handgun, but I do want to protect other things. I also bought a couple of fireproof bags for the documents. ![]()
My safe is 7â high and weighs 1000 pounds empty. Anything not in my safe is on my person or within 3 feet of me.
I have a biometric handgun safe, but never use it. One of these ONLY hinders me from accessing my weapon. It does nothing to stop a thief. He can rip this out of what ever is holding it in a few seconds. If this costs more than about $100 itâs just not worth it.
Now what I could use, it an impossible to remove shotgun safe, for my Jeep. Must be hidden, impossible to remove without being open, and hold a full-length Benelli M4 Shotgun.
There is one good reason to have the handgun safe. WA (and Wyze is in WA) has a law that you can be held accountable, if someone gets access to your unlocked firearm. Regardless of the need, the law may require something like this in some states.
And what the heck is wrong with that?
Security:
- First line of defense: Cameras
- Second line of defense: Door, Window, Motion Sensors
- Third and final line of defense: Whatâs in the safe
This is a very appropriate product for someone in the security business.
PS: I wish they would put out a product that can be put in the safe. Or, from a technology point of view, a biometric firearm. Bet they are working on one. ![]()
