How can we help?
Youâve hit the ground running, Admiral, well done.
(not that easy with an artificial hip!)
Or this:
Be Friends With Users
**artificial hip" Nope but I do have some titanium parts in my let knee.
Do you mean legally? Cuz anybody can try to do anything, but that doesnât mean that it complies with trademark laws.
A lot of companies donât pursue personal use, but they do pursue mass produced or profiting. But you never know, as in some cases they might see it as free advertising. Still, always better to get permission for these kinds of things. Which is rarely given.
Time to come up with a pseudonym and generate a company logo with AI to sell these dark shirts. Boston T Company?
Anyone can make themselves something with aomekne elseâs pictures or logos, it when they sell them it becomes illegal.
Then you need to donate any/all profits toward a cause it would be impossible to oppose.
Yeah, there are certainly times it can be legal to use someone elseâs trademarks for fair use, or parody/criticism. The problem in this poll was the specific mention of PURCHASABLE and such, implying that someone would list it for everyone else to buyâŚwhich likely wouldnât qualify under either descriptive fair use nor nominative fair use standards.
Hence my comment about whether legal qualifies in the answer.
I wouldnât go so far as to say it will NEVER appear on ANY PLATFORM ever thoughâŚbecause Wyze is a platform and it already sells Wyze T-Shirts, and it very likely could do more. Iâve seen employees wearing some Wyze T-Shirts that arenât for sale (yet).
@R.Good has been dying for them to sell one with their âToo Good to Be Trueâ catch phrase that we saw on some employees so he can buy it immediately.
So yeah, itâs totally possible some [more] Wyze TShirts will show on a platform (Wyzeâs own Platform) eventuallyâŚbut I doubt it will happen in the next 30 days.
For one thing, for people to be excited about wearing company swag, they need to work on rebuilding their reputation a little bit and some trust. They had a rough year with some of those things at the beginning of the year. Then they need to raise the excitement level again like they had back in like 2022 when people were really EXCITED about Wyze and everything they were doing. A lot of that excitement died down when they decided to cut out all resources for anything besides cameras. It stopped being a huge growing smart home platform, and switched back to being a lot more limited again, which quelled some of the excitement for a while so they could get back to being profitable and stable. Totally makes sense from a business perspective (nobody wants to give away too much of their company to investors), so getting cashflow positive was certainly a worthy goal, but it did come with some drawbacks too.
Suit the suits.
Maybe I can become a charity organization, Good Will T-Shirts and give 10% to charity and use the rest for expenses.
Just saw this in a post. It might look good on the back of a t-shirt.
âSo, whoever made it NOT work could they please make it WORK again?â
Iâm not sure I like that TShirtâŚhere is why:
Speaking GENERALLY: People who BREAK things, arenât typically all that great at FIXING themâŚand generally arenât the people you want fixing things they broke. Things to consider:
- Breaking something often implies a lack of understanding about how it works in the first place.
- Breaking and fixing often require different skills and mindsets.
- When someone breaks something, their guilt, frustration or embarrassment can often cloud their judgement and hinder their ability to fix it properly
- An improper fix can actually cause further damage that will be more complicated and expensive to resolve further down the road, particularly if there is something similar to increased design debt.
I donât mean to establish this as a rule. Itâs just meant to be a joke on a t-shirt.
I understand your point but I thought it was funny.
Just like âI am an IT Professional and I know what I am doing.â
Yeah, I understand. I just enjoy using it as a prompt to add to watercooler conversation. Donât let my random musing dissuade you from sharing such things. I HIGHLY enjoy you continuing to do so. It wasnât intended as a criticism, just an excuse to muse and banter as I enjoy doing.
No problem. My replies often sound serious when they arenât meant to be. What is even worse is my sarcasm.
My shirt reads, âI break things to make them better!â
Why not a tattoo?
Iâd break it trying to make it better?
