Introducing Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell - Released 10/21/2024

One of my purchases was delivered by Amazon and that one arrived the next day. The other 2 were by another company and those took a couple of days.

Edit - clarification.

The 2 non-Amazon deliveries took a couple of days from the time Wyze dropped off the items. In one of them, Wyze dropped it off the next day, and the other, Wyze took a couple of days to drop it off.

I like to have sample pics to see differences… 1st pic is from Wyze Cam Pro Doorbell, 2nd is from new Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell

@LenBradner - This is the first time I have seen the Wyze Doorbell Cam Pro referred to as Wyze Cam Plus, but I see it on the screenshot. Wyze Cam Plus is the subscription servuce for smart a.i. features. Looks like a Wyze mislabeling. I have Wyze logo display turned off on all of my cams which is why I’ve never noticed this discrepancy.

Interestingly, I turned on “Show Wyze Logo” on a few cams including a doorbell v2 and all I am getting is just the name “WYZE” added to the display. I am a cam plus unlimited annual subscribers. Could this be for individual cam plus subscriptions? Forum users input?

The Wyze Cam doorbell pro says Wycecam Plus when in fisheye mode when in portrait orientation only. The one consistent thing about Wyze is the lack of consistency across anything they have from hardware to software it’s all a crap shoot as to what menus do and how setting go. The app flipflop on iPad and the different menu access - info is infuriating. The release notes with “bugs fixed” and “easier shopping” as the product points is comical.

I almost think a slight wedge to the right would work well to catch your entire porch without losing any part of the view.

Can anyone who has installed the vdb duo comment on if the mounting screw holes match up to existing Wyze doorbell mounts?

I don’t have one yet, but I 99.99% suspect they don’t. All the unboxing videos of Wyze cameras aren’t looking like the holes are the same place on any of them.

That’s the Duo Camera with top and bottom cameras. I’ll take the VD Pro away once I’m happy with the WDD… (posted for those without sarcasm!)

I have the Duo but don’t have any of the previous models. I measured the separation between the 2 screw holes and it’s 4.5 inches.

I think you misunderstood. I was asking about this:

The screw holes do not match up. The new doorbell is bigger.

Is anyone using detection zones and getting Smart Motion Alerts? I have to turn off the boxes or I am not getting alerts.

I tried it a couple ways. Reset Services 2x, rebooted 2x.

I think I figured out what happened.


I went back and noticed there’s 2 free shipping options. I just saw where it said members get free shipping (I had always paid for shipping when ordering through Wyze before) and assumed it selected the fastest option so I didn’t check it. All my fault. As I see now, there’s 2 free options one faster than the other. My fault.

I didn’t get the 2nd free shipping option when I checked out. It would have been foolish of me not to take it.

You would think that, but some people are in a hurry.

@ssummerlin - I wonder if that option was only there if you purchased 1 item? I purchased 2 vdbcam duo’s and economy shipping was apparently the better expense for Wyze. Earlier I had purchased 1 of the new clear v4’s with free shipping and received it within a week, USPS shipping. Oh well. . .!!
