This is so GREAT! I really needed these when the floodlights launched. I had to end up buying my own junction box and cutting an extension cord to make it a plugin mount. This new plug-in mount makes everything so much more simple that I might add a couple of more FLPros in a couple of places now!
Yep. I live in a corner house, so I have 2 on each side of the front of my house (West Side of the house), then one over the garage on the South, then 2 on each side of the back of my house on the East side (one watching my back patio and also lights up the pool at night and one watching the playground), and then one on the back corner wall of my property close to the pool and facing back toward the house. Then I have a 6th one with this Plugin Mount that they silently launched early to subscribers a month or 2 ago that I am debating where to mount permanently…I have a few locations, but haven’t made a permanent location yet. So maybe I’ll just get a couple and put them in multiple places.
The FLPros are just so awesome with 2.5K and a wide FOV plus free edge detection, etc. and parts of them will work with Home Assistant routines through the 3rd party API, so they’re just fantastic devices to have everywhere. I don’t even use IR nightvision on any cameras anymore because the FLPros have my house covered so well. And they blend in so well. My neighbor didn’t even realise it was a camera until my daughter backed into his truck and I sent him a video of it to send to the insurance to speed up the process of getting everything resolved (we totally agreed to take full responsibility, it was very obvious). He was actually really excited that if something ever happens near us he can call me to look it up.
