From the official Wyze response it sounds like they are going to update the instructions and then allow setup in the app once they do. I just bought 10 of the Solar Cam Pans, and it’s a bit disappointing but I’m going to hold onto them for a bit since I think their fix will be easy.
We will work with the CPSC to develop corrected written and app instructions for setting up the Solar Cam Pan as part of a thorough Consumer Product Safety Commission review of the product.
My already installed Cam Pan stopped doing cloud recording as of the 28th. Reset/restart does nothing. It still detects motion and follows you around, but no cloud recording is happening. I chatted with support and of course they said troubleshooting cannot be done because of this safety issue even though mine is already installed correctly, and the panel is not even attached, its mounted separately. Anybody else have this issue? Makes my subscription service worthless now.
