Hi I need download Wyze Cam Floodlight Firmware

1.0.0.55 (December 1, 2021)
I need this firmware, could somebody help me please because I can’t download it from the website

This firmware was never available for download on Wyze’s firmware website. It was only available for OTA update in the Wyze app.

I think you need to reach out to a Wyze engineer to provide it for you.

Just curious what you think you need that firmware for? Even if you downloaded it, it would be extremely complicated to install it on the Floodlight. are you a computer/electrical engineer?

It would likely require using some complex tools and software. Are you familiar with using PuTTY or Tera Term? Could be some other complicated things needed (Firmware extraction tools, possibly a Hex Editor, JTAG programmer if there is a JTAG connection, maybe you’ll get lucky and there is a serial console?)

Honestly, unless you are very familiar with such things with technical skill, you’re more likely to brick it than help it, so I am assuming you are a highly technical programmer in this case. If that is so, you would have to contact to Customer Service and hope they will escalate your request to a tier 2 support Dev who would be willing to send you a copy of the firmware. I don’t think they will do that though. More than likely they will simply ask you what you need it for, and if it’s because your Fllodlight isn’t working, they’d probably just say it’s out of warranty and no longer able to be resolved through normal means.

Having said all that, I asked what you are trying to do because it’s possible there is just a misunderstanding. The Floodlight v1 firmware hasn’t really ever changed. It is controlled by a Wyze Cam V3, and you CAN change the firmware for the V3. If you’re having problems with the floodlight and were wanting to check the firmware to see what the cause might be, I don’t think you would find it in the Floodlight firmware anyway. The Accessories code for the V3 does have some bugs/glitches in it. Here is an explanation about that from an AMA:

ANSWER:
The accessory code is a large and fickle beast (50k lines of code) that spans multiple different implementation environments (App, Cloud, FW). We are continuing to apply improvements to this code, but some fixes expose other issues, or some improvements to our generic code break important communications about the accessories to the App. Reboot usually solve the issue as in this large blob of code there are hundreds (thousands?) of potential states that it can get into, that it may not be able to recover from. Know that we are actively pursuing fixes to these issues, and your reports to our community managers (with logIDs!!) is incredibly valuable to getting them fixed! We are also working on more diverse QA test cases to try and catch more of these breakages before they are visible to users - u/WyzeMitchell 1

Without more details, my guess is that you have an issue with the accessories code. It might take a lot of work to sort out the accessories code if you are having a problem with your Floodlight. I’m guessing the Floodlight Firmware is not the real thing you need, but I could be wrong. Maybe you need it because yours got corrupted somehow and hope to flash it back to working again. But chances are that the problem is in the accessories code in the V3 cam and the App, etc. You can technically kind of get those…but it might be a beast to try to get through without all the source code.
