Yes, and yes. All cameras are also on an UPS.
I have even swapped cables and power adapters between cameras, and swapped camera locations. Still, four of my five Cam Pan v3s exhibit this issue and one does not (never has).

Unlikely for several cameras to exhibit that kind of error all at the same time. Could it be the camera UPS? What kind of UPS? Maybe try removing one pan cam V3 and observe. Possibly the cameras don’t like square power wave forms.
Way ahead of you, but thanks for the suggestion. I’ve already had the cameras in question off the UPSs, and plugged into the wall with the same results.
I have 3 pan cam V3s and have only seen that error a few times in the past. It was due to SD card corruption. Formatting the SD card fixed it and I don’t see it anymore.
I just noticed something interesting.
My Pan V3 is running latest firmware and it was released in April, which is about when my issues began.
The Pan V3 is the ONLY cam running this version. I’ve got a V2, a Pan V2, a couple V3s and an OG which are all “up to date “ and none of those have this April update.
The firmware notes only indicate the addition of a new security feature called “VerifiedView” :
Cam Pan v3 Firmware
4.50.14.3339 (April 29, 2025)
I googled this and found blog entry on it:
TLDR; it says there is a new authentication protocol that limits the ability to view events and live streams until it verifies you are the device owner registered when camera is set up.
There is no mention of SD card recordings as part of this, but I would think those would be protected as well since it is a “media source “.
So, given all that, I’m speculating that perhaps there is some glitch with the authentication when accessing SD cards??
Just a wild theory on my part. It would explain why only V3 Pans are affected, but not sure why a few would be immune as some have reported.
I’ve never attempted to do so, but is there away to install a previous firmware? If so, I might be willing to try that with one of my problematic v3s.
But if this is the issue, why would it affect only four of my five v3s on the current firmware?
The plot thickens.
I had that “No video available at this time” message today. I haven’t seen it for a long time. I have that camera recording “Continuous” so I was perplexed.
Turns out, the display and the SD card were out of sync; force closing the app and then re-displaying that clip section works normally.
Edit: this is a floodlight V2.
Care to mention the SD cards you have tried?
I decided to check my 2 active cam pan v3’s and have discovered I also have this issue to 1 of them. Both are on fw 4.50.14.339, events only recording and have sandisk 256gb high endurance cards installed. One cam is recording as it should and playback is normal. The 2nd cam is not recording but intermittently displaying a small window with a number (# of events?) but cannot be played back. The greenbars for playback don’t exist. There is an earlier event identified with the paw icon for pet but will not activate to playback.
The no video is available message comes and goes. If it’s a firmware issue, why aren’t both pan v3’s behaving the same, so I discount that as the issue. There is 1½ yrs between activation dates as I had 1 stored before putting it into use. The problem cam was activated 01/2023. Perhaps a factory reset is needed to get things on track.
I will hold-off on that process pending some forum feedback. Thanks for your responses.
I have always used cards spec’d at SDXC, C10, U3, V30, A2. A mix of different trusted brands. They all behaved well, up until recently in four of my five v3s. No issue in one of my v3s, or all my other Wyze devices. Only the four v3s in question exhibit the issue. And only within the last couple months. And I’ve bought new SD cards, with the same results. It’s not the SD cards.
Edit: And I’ve rotated all my SD cards on hand, brand new and older cards (a total of 12 cards) through all my v3 cameras. The behavior stays with the cameras.
That’s not the conclusion I would draw, and that update does not at all coincide with the timing of this issue with my problematic Cam Pan v3 (which is using the same firmware version as the camera that isn’t having this problem), which was giving me grief for several months last summer, then seemed fine for a few months, and then since mid-December has refused to cooperate with any microSD cards, cards which work without apparent issue in other Wyze Cams. I’m stumped about the cause, but I haven’t yet seen convincing evidence that it’s entirely related to firmware.
Also, if you check the Release Notes & Firmware page and your other Cams are current with their firmware versions, then you’ll see that Cam OG, Cam v3, and Cam Pan v2 also received VerifiedView updates earlier this year, despite a mention in the announcement video that Cam Pan v2 might not receive that update. I probably wouldn’t expect to see (non-Pan) Cam v2 to receive this, though.
Yes. I’ve flashed some Wyze Cams before but haven’t actually tried it on a Cam Pan v3. If you decide to try following the instructions, please note that they incorrectly refer to “folder” when what you really want to copy to the root directory of your microSD card is the relevant .bin
file. This has been brought up multiple times elsewhere in the Forum, but they still haven’t corrected this article in the Help Center. Several older firmware versions are available for Cam Pan v3, if you want to play around with that.
Wyze Support suggested this when I had an open ticket a few months ago. I tried it on the problematic camera, and it did not resolve the issue for me. I understand the hesitation, and maybe it’s worth a shot, but I wouldn’t expect this to solve the problem for you. I did it because I didn’t have anything else to lose (but time and patience) at that point, and I wanted to be able to truthfully say that I’d jumped through that hoop.
Thank you. I actually have a 3rd cam pan v3 I can take out and put in service to see if it has the issue. Firmware is current and it has an 06/2023 date of activation. I’ll post results once I have it in operation.
I don’t know why, but my pan cam V3s are pretty stable nowadays. They were problematic before, but the current firmware is stable. I have a third pan V3 that I planned to be a hot spare; but now I’m giving it to a friend because I don’t need it anymore.
I also just checked the SD cards of my 2 deployed pan V3s; I still don’t have that “No video available” bug.
I guess this is one way for Wyze to push me to the new duo cam pan.
I posted in another thread that the duo pan cam is likely to cannibalize the pan V3’s market segment. I have the duo pan, and it’s now my pan V3 spare.
I’ll chime in with my experience. Once in a blue moon I get the dreaded “No video available at this time” on a regular V3 and V4. Getting out of the SD card interface and going back fixes the issue. I think it is app glitch/bug that affects some cameras more than others.
It’s very likely they’ll have Cam Pan V4 to replace the older model since there’s like a MSRP price gap of $30 to the Duo Cam Pan. It’s due for an upgrade anyways since Cam Pan V3 was still on 1080p.
Yes, Wyze is likely to come out with a real replacement for the pan V3, but I expect the duo pan cam to still cannibalize its sales, until they release the new camera.
When you remove the fixed camera from its housing, the duo pan cam looks like a pan V3 replacement.
Hi Jeff, could you submit a log and share with me? I will poke a round internally to have someone look into this issue. Sorry for your experience.
Best,
Mengting
So, this is happening on four of my Cam Pan v3 cameras. Do you want a log from each one?
Also, I’m pretty sure I can make it happen just by scrolling back in time on the SD card. Do you want me to click “Submit a log” in the app before or after it happens?
Re 1) A few logs will be helpful - better from two different devices!
Re 2) After it happens
Thank you!!
