Not isolated. This v3 is in the same house as my other v2 and v3 cams.
Just 5 minutes ago, I moved it from a wifi 5 to wifi 6 router but it still won’t connect to GH. No biggee at the moment, but it would be cool to have that option.

My 2 month old FLCam v2 went bad and will not setup after a factory reset. 4 1/2 years and 1 defective v3 that was replaced. Not bad for 35+ devices. I can’t believe the hoops Support is throwing at me for a defective product. My v4s could be my last Wyze product purchase depending on outcome.
2 months is sad. My oldest v2 is from 5/2019 and still works during the day since it doesn’t have night vision. V3s seem resilient.
I ordered a v4 to check out the improvements. V3 fully meets my needs, but want a new toy. The spot light will be useless to me since all of my cams live inside behind windows.
Some Wyze quality seems to fail, but the cheap cams work well for the cost without the subscriptions.
Likewise, my v2’s from 2019/20 also still going strong. Never had sdcard issues with either. Seems like 2022 was the year things started going bad with quality on Wyze cams and products.
any update on this from google ? its been over 1 year now that Wyze camera are hit ot miss with working with Google Home. while its been stated on other threads in this forum that its a Google home issue. Over the rest of the internet it seen as a ’ wyze cameras dont with Google work even tho they say they do’ I have multiple WYZE cameras / devices but simplicity is not becoming the burden.
I have already replaced one wyze camera with another brand due to this issue so my house can be monitored in One app with everythgin integrated .
@ssummerlin - kudos to Wyze Support for promptly sending a replacement FLv2 once they were satisfied with the requested documentation I forwarded. They also emailed me a prepaid USPS label to return the defective FLv2. A couple years ago when I had a defective Camv3, it was replaced without the return. No problem, I can understand the difference.
Bad news, the replacement is also defective and I am in the process of requesting a replacement for it. I informed Support that I will be requesting replacements until I receive one that can be successfully setup and works or Wyze refuses a replacement.
A sad situation that I’m sure Wyze will want to have a positive outcome (I hope).
I hope so, too. Best of luck.
Frustrating. My Pan Cam v1 works fine and connects well. The Google Home appliance shows the video and audio stream fine. The Google Home app on iOS does not. Resetting, deleting accounts etc all fail to make a difference.
Welcome to the Forum, @tom18!
They’re unlikely to, as this appears to be an iOS-specific problem with the Google Home app. Here’s one related topic (there are others):
This worked for me. From a Google assistant, say, “Ok Google, sync my devices.”. Afterwards, the wyze cams will stream from Google home.

Your solution is something that I often forget about, though I did suggest it recently in another topic. I like when simple things work as expected, and I appreciate your sharing this.
I have no trouble streaming my Cam V1 to my google home app and smart hub, but can’t get the Cam V3 and V4 to stream. On my google hub, it wont even try to load the camera. Any tips?
Welcome to the Forum, @NarcoD!
What do you see on the Hub? When I approach my Google Home Hub (1st Gen) and swipe left on the screen (to clear the Photo Frame slide show and get to the main screen with the control tiles), then tap Home control ➜ Cameras, I see tiles with camera names and their assigned rooms.
This is what I’d try:
Thanks for your reply. On my hub i see all my cameras (v1, V3 and V4). If I click on one th eof V1, loads the stream right away, if I click on V3 or V4, it says connecting and then fails and goes to the home screen again. Share thing happens in the google home app on my phone. I’ve tried syncing my devices. All cameras are in a room. I’ve reconnected the account. Unlinked and re linked everything multiple times. I’ve reset cameras, deleted cameras and reinstalled them. I’ve tried everything that you’re recommended without success.
I think you meant “same thing”, but please correct me if I misinterpret. Unfortunately, my experience with streaming Wyze cameras in the Google Home app is also inconsistent, but viewing on Google Home Hub (also a television running Google TV and another television with a Chromecast HD connected) has been fairly reliable with a number of Wyze cameras.
Have you ever been able to view Cam v3 or Cam v4 via Google Home (either app or smart display), or is this a recent problem? I’m wondering if there’s any kind of service outage like what was reported in July (if you visit the link in the previous paragraph, you’ll see links to those topics in my other post), but I’m guessing that’s not the case here. What happens if you navigate into Cam v4’s settings and tap Reset Services? (I imagine Cam v3 has this option, as well, but I don’t own any of those.) I’m not expecting that to fix it; I’m just thinking of other things I’d try in your situation, and I’m running out of ideas.
It is beyond pathetic the Wyze engineers can’t get right what thousands of other vendors have…to integrate (seamlessly) with Google home.
After all, you do advertise that your products do have this capability.
And let’s be real, it’s been many years of hearing the same old excuses.
Sadly, I invested in Wyze… doorbell, lock, scale, lights, cameras, etc. Etc.
If it’s that hard to accomplish, maybe Wyse should just stick to vacuum cleaners and not the complicated stuff like cameras…it would be the wyze thing to do.
I completely agree. I bought a camera expecting it to work with Google home and it never has. I wouldn’t be so miffed if it wasn’t advertised as working with Google Home.
IT HAS NEVER WORKED from the beginning.
I bought Reolink cameras instead…no issues whatsoever.
Lest I be told that it is something I am doing I am an IT professional with over 30 years in the field. I have experience setting up advanced networks, domains, and long distance wireless bridges with multiple subnets and diverse operating systems.
I wasted so much time trying to get 1 Wyze CAM v3 to work with Google Home, I am embarrassed to admit it. At least it was cheap.
Not ready for prime time…
I have V3 cameras and for most of this year (2024) they were viewable in my GH app on my Pixel 8 Pro. Then recently I’m unable to connect to them. My guess is some sort of link between Google and Wyze has been broken. I haven’t changed anything on my end, so I’m not sure what would cause them to stop working in GH after working for many months. I unlinked Wyze and relinked which of course didn’t resolve the issue.
Any update on the Wyze and Google Home App connection? I tried linking and unlinking my Wyze account from Google Home App and even contacted Google Support. They said it’s a Wyze issue, but I also sent Google feedback through the Google Home App. It’s annoying to see the “camera unavailable / couldn’t reach this camera” or “Live video unavailanle. The camera may be unreachable or saving battery” in the Google Home App when, in fact, things are working fine–all camera firmaware is up-to-date; cameras are viewable in Wyze app and also viewable on Google Home deivce–just not the Google Home App.
Interesting results with GH app on my S22 Ultra Android. Most cams and doorbells are showing live viewing although with varying degrees of delay. 1 anomaly, a v3 pro in front displays while a v3 pro in back does not. Why “Camera Unavailable” and “Live view unavailable” when both are linked to GH thru Wyze app? Otherwise, I’ve got about a 90% success rate with GH. However, the Wyze app and Alexa are my prime viewing sources.
