Garage door opens on its own

This is a new installation, less than a week. I have a legacy opener and it installed with no problems. Twice this week it randomly opened and I got a notification saying there was a noise reported and the door was opened. I have one rule that tells the controller to close at 10:00pm. I have had to recalibrate twice too, once because the open/ close button was missing and once because it didn’t respond. I have submitted a log already log ID number 1383481

Do you have any suggestions as to why this might happen?

Submitting a log is step 1, the next step is to follow the instructions in the log submission email and in the app and contact Support to relay that number to them. They may also have some troubleshooting tips for you also.

There were no instructions, just a comment to contact support. How do I do that?

The email had a few different links to the Support site. Here ya go!

I’m sorry, but so far these links are a circular waste of time. Can you please just give me a link to talk to someone? I’m just trying to complete step 2.

I am having the same issue. The garage door controller will actually OPEN the garage door if you set a rule to CLOSE it at a certain time. I think this is a programming logic issue that needs to be addressed in a software update. I have also submitted a Log ID: 1363669.

Your garage will most definitely OPEN then close when telling it to close, if it’s already closed.

It’s a bug. I’m surprised they haven’t fixed it yet. Maybe they can’t?

I have a rule to close the door every day at 10:00pm and it hasn’t instead opened. My issue is random openings.

Interesting. I didn’t have that problem. Wiring issue or do you have something in a rule somewhere? Check Rule History to see if anything is doing it there.

Thanks,
One issue in the rules history that said the door failed to close. But it doesn’t coincide with the random opening. The good news is that it hasn’t happened again since.
