Lots of customers since the 2/16/2024 outage have been successful with an app logout/login.
From the Wyze App, click on Account, then Log Out.
While logged out, some clear the app cache from the Android system side.
Settings, Apps, Wyze, Storage & Cache, Clear Cache
When you log back in, sometimes live view is re-enabled.
My V3 Pro cameras (3 of them) and my new Battery Cam Pro are the most sensitive to this issue.
I saw in another thread where a customer mentioned before they cleared their Wyze app cache it had grown over 3gb? I have seen mine approach 1 gb before I cleared it, but I cannot remember it ever going over a gb. I would like to hear if any other customers have seen the app cache grow over a gb in size.
I have. I didn’t care too much since I have 128GB of storage, which is more than I need, but I remember being surprised that it was so high. It might’ve even been multiple GB, I don’t remember for sure. I just remember being surprised it was higher than a GB.
To be fair, I have over 40 cameras and more than 300 total Wyze devices, so…I probably use a lot more cache than most people.
The only other app on my phone that seems to have a cache size that large is the Android “Photos” app. I cleared it the other day when it got over 1gb.
Good to know though that others are seeing a large Wyze App Cache, and not just me.
Thanks!
