From my viewpoint, this is Wyze’s biggest problem. I am surprised there doesn’t seem much concern to fix it.
I know the cloud backup issue is important, but I am not a subscriber.
This affects subscribers and non-subscribers for quite some time now. If not spotted during the warranty, cams are crippled for life.
The only resolution I have found that works is a complete replacement of the buggy cam.
Some people want a firmware patch, but why patch my 4 v3 cams that have worked fine since 2019?
It’s a puzzle.
