I’m happy to report that my Pan Cam V3 seems to have been fixed with this firmware update. I watched it disconnect and reconnect by itself. Way to go! Thank you so much!
I had high hopes but today my 3 pan cam v3s and my doorbell v2 went offline at the same time. What is interesting is after 10+ minutes 2 of the pan cam v3’s recovered. The doorbell v2 and one pan cam V3 required a power reset. If it happens again I’ll submit a log. When this happens all of my other 4 cams (OG telephoto, cam V4, Battery Cam Pro, cam V3 pro have never exhibited this failure.
How do I get 578 for my DB2. I only show the prior version 0379 via the app and via the beta app with db2 checked for beta firmware
@WyzeJasonJ, what’s the actual availability of the 4.51.2.0578 firmware for Video Doorbell v2? Forum members in a couple of related posts have noted that the app isn’t yet offering the update:
My v2.5x production Wyze app on Android is offering me the 4.51.2.0379 firmware as the latest available update.
Anyone still having VDBv2 connectivity issues, please read this thread:
Don’t worry, Wyze will add some new feature which will screw it up all over again.
Hi . Been few days that my wyze cam v3 is not connecting online . What’s the update on this? I purchased online the doorbell cam a week ago, now i am thinking if i should return it and get Ring.
Wyze will say that your router is the issue.
Is there a way to upgrade firmware via sdcard, similar to the cameras? Mine was on the previous firmware but stuck offline and could not update. (Odd how it still gives a live video feed when “offline” but wont recognize it anywhere else…)
I deleted the device from my account via the 2.5 app, and am now unable to add it back in. Fails the wifi connection every time. Ive disabled the 5ghz radio and unmerged ssids on my router with no change.
Its been about a month now that the doorbell has been essentially useless.
@WyzeJasonJ, is it necessary to do a stepwise update in order to get Video Doorbell v2 firmware v4.51.2.0578? I see that this new version was re-released over a week ago, but both the v3.0 and v2.5x app (Android) versions are offering me only the v4.51.2.0379 firmware. Is there still a cloud-related issue with this release?
In case anyone else is wondering, the answer is apparently “yes”. The app wouldn’t even offer me this one until I did the 4.51.1.8444 ⇝ 4.51.2.0379 update, and then I could finish it with 4.51.2.0379 ⇝ 4.51.2.0578.
