Apparently, it requires a stepwise update. @sdoxsee & @Salor (and anyone else who’s been forgoing newer firmware), I finally updated last week because of an unrelated issue with my Video Doorbell v2, and since Wyze Support suggested a warranty replacement, I figured I didn’t have anything to lose by trying. I’m pleased to report that the update succeeded, and I still have fairly reliable (i.e., no worse than before) notifications with the latest production firmware, plus I now get to enjoy WDR, which provides a noticeable improvement with the daytime color images.
