Submitting a request for a feature that should be easy to incorporate (I would think). On the new V4 and newer cameras, the SD card playback is horrible. It’s very difficult to get to a precise moment when the bar is large and doesn’t shrink the longer you hold it. So I find myself missing a lot when trying to find a precise 5-10 second clip. Perhaps make a better way to scroll through smaller bits or even a +30s or -30s button would even be useful. The v3s were much better for navigating I feel.
Cam v4 already has these features:
- You can zoom the microSD card recording timeline in or out by using spread and pinch gestures on the timeline element.
- If you tap the view pane while watching microSD playback, you should see several on-screen overlay controls, including those to navigate forwards or backwards in 30-second increments.

No worries. Cam v3’s UI went through some major changes in the app last year, so if you’re accustomed to that then using something newer, like Cam v4, has a bit of a learning curve. Wyze could probably do a better job with making their UIs more intuitive.
I do think that the in-app tutorials can be helpful if you’re using a new Cam for the first time, and someone asked about that last month, so I outlined a way that I think it should work on Android, but I’m not sure what the process would be to reset the same things on iOS if you wanted to see those again.

Yeah the pinch and zoom on the timeline was a surprise for me when I learned about it a year or two ago.
Note that on the overlay controls, in addition to the 30 second forward and back, there are arrows on the far right and left that skip between events, that can be handy too.
I do wish they’d add like 2x and 4x playback speed to SD card (like they have for cloud videos) but it may be a limitation of hardware preventing that, who knows.
