My cameras are all up to date. App is up to date. Cameras are “pinging” that a person is detected and showing on my phone and Wyze watch. I go to the Events in the app, and it’s showing “No events found” even for previous days! I have DOZENS of event videos in there every day. I’ve already forced it to shutdown, restarted it. Rebooted the phone…
I swear, the last several months have been a lesson in frustration with this app (and the watch).
What the heck is going on?
Sounds like you have filters enabled that are blocking out your events. In the event tab, click the filter at the top and clear all filters.
If you are getting the notifications, then something is being uploaded to the cloud so they should be there.
No filters are set. Nothing has changed on my end. This has happened before and then suddenly, the events came back with no action on my part that I’m aware of.
It’s just very frustrating…
On the latest version, 3.0.5, and I too have no events at all on the events tab. No filters set. Note that the ios version of the app does show the events, just the android one is missing the events completely.
I dont have any events showing either and i cant tet into the decices, i only see the live images on the home page. It’s like the app is down, i know that i had events earlier today
Welcome to the Forum, @tanya.ammerman!
I’m still on v3.0.0 (I swear that getting to v3.0.5 is on my list today) and seeing events there and in v2.5x. I don’t have Cam Plus or any other subscription and do continuous recording to microSD. Is this perhaps something that’s affecting only subscribers?
Idk, I’m getting the push notifications when events happe. But when you go to watch the event it says “camera info =null”
Could be, I’m a CAM Unlimited subscriber.
I can confirm the same happens to me. Also when I go to the device page and click into a group I can that message too.
Also when I go to firmware update I get the message ‘there are no devices linked to this account’. That kinda points to an issue at the account level, probably a backend bug.
And under the account tab underneath the Friendly Faces entry a new entry appears, ‘Smart Vision (Pilot)’. Clicking it does nothing.
Also going to services shows the signup ads, not my Cam Unlimited service. it’s disappeared too.
** Force stopping the android app and then restarting it makes all the above issues go away **
I wonder if that’s the same thing that’s being reported here:
For a while now, I have been getting the message "The camera info is NULL! everytime I try to watch a motion video sent by my camera Cam Pan V2. How can I fix this?
I haven’t seen this on any of my cameras, but there are suggestions in that topic about removing devices from Favorites and adding them back, as well as viewing events from a camera’s Live Stream screen instead of the Events tab.
I’m not sure what the issue is. I’m just trying to connect some dots. I think the suggestion about a server issue or
backend bug
is what makes the most sense to me at the moment.
I just force stopped the app amd brought it back up amd now all o my events are there
Update…two days later, all the events are there now. I had forced stopped the app repeatedly, rebooted my phone (android) - none of which worked. Whatever issue was causing this was resolved on its own (or Wyze fixed it). FYI! Thanks for the help folks!
Yeah, I really think @sleighton had the answer with this one about server-side work/issues on Wyze’s part. I was reading earlier today about issues with sensors (like the kind that connect to Wyze Sense Hub) not reporting for a while and then suddenly working again later—and this issue also affected multiple users. I imagine this issue with events was/is probably a similar situation (but I’m just speculating).
