Error (code 3001)!

That was almost a month ago.

The original thread was started a month ago. That update in that fix it Friday thread was just posted yesterday.

All my v2 cameras have this issue. Very annoying as need more cameras but cant invest in what does not work.

The cameras are basically unusable at this point. They will be fixed for a day or two if I unplup and plug back in but will get the 3001 error again shortly afterwards. Sucks.

Agreed. Its awful. I have a dodgy chinese camera used for something less important that seems more reliable. What gives. Yet all my wyze i cant view more than a partial event before error. :frowning: how its not top priority to fix is mind boggling.

Wyze needs to stop taking everyone’s money or fix this!!! Enough already!

How about all Wyze employees including the owners not take any wages, and use the money to bring in Blink Camera Engineers and show them how to run a company and what customer service is…

Imagine if a business who bought Wyze’s solution had this happen? Or someone got hurt and the Wyze Cloud failed? Can Wyze be sued or a Class Action Suit be filed to force a resolution?

My camera investment and monthly paid subscription has made me question why I faithfully supported this start up venture…

I mean what’s really going to be an issue is if someone has a crime occur and they get about 4 seconds of video and miss identifying a person or car, etc. It really is a safety issue if people are using Wyze cameras for any kind of security purposes. Again, might as well trash them for that reason alone even though Wyze should reimburse or make up for selling an unusable product.

Oh and I also just got an email that Cam Plus price is increasing for monthly customers. How about we fix the known existing issue first!

Seemed like the error had stopped but now I am getting it on every event!!!

Still getting 3001 error code on every event and every camera except my wireless one. This is disgraceful I think they just want us all to upgrade to cam plus not going to happen I’ll buy different cameras first.

As I fool I believed in Wyze and subscribed to Cam Plus, same issue.

Anyone know how to start a Class Action Suit to get our money back for the cameras and subscriptions?

Hello, I WANT to clarify at least my 3001 error. I have a wyzecam V2. It was working fine for over a year. Now when I get a person detection it fails to show it’s a person and shows just motion. It’s when this happens I get the 3001 error. I am able to see the full video but don’t get notified since I want notify only person detection. Unplugging it and cycle does get rid of the issue for a few days. So frustrating. It makes a good case never to update your firmware when something is working perfectly. :slightly_frowning_face::slightly_frowning_face::slightly_frowning_face: I did try cs last year to no avail.

Some people upgraded and still get it. See my post below…my 3001 error is a little different. I can actually see the full video.

Gave up on Wyze ever fixing the 3001 code on my numerous V3s.

Now my Wyze doorbell does not allow for videos to be viewed due to error code 006!!! And I as a fool still pay for CamPlus. I have stopped talking about Wyze as a viable camera solution.

Gwendolyn Gwendolyn Alanna Evans (from Wyze) posted this 2 days ago on the FB group as a reply to my post (which I posted 7 months ago. I’ve been asking for updates every month or so).

“We’re expecting to start QA testing for the fix in the next two weeks.”

They’re selling everything but underware. If Wyze wants to survive they need to back track. And take care of the products they started with. And with the lack of concern they have shown 3001 it may be too late. I’m sure there are others like myself that do not intend to buy anything else from Wyze.

The v3 firmware with the solution had been available for several months now.

Whilst a solution would be great, an explanation of the cause would also be interesting as I really dont understand how it can be firmware related & not caused by the AWS or app implemention.

If the downloaded video plays fine externally to the Wyze app, it must be related to the app/cloud streaming somehow?.?

V3 firmware…? I see 3001 daily on V2 and Cam Pan. And still Wyze is begging us to get Cam Plus. No apologia 3001. They really don’t even admit there’s a problem. But they do keep pushing more products at us.

In the release notes for the last v3 firmware there was a fix for error 3001.

4.10.9.1472 (November 2, 2022)

  • Fixed a bug that affected camera IoT connection after a cloud outage
  • Fixed a bug that caused incorrect membership status after switching between statuses
  • Fixed a bug that caused Error 3001 when viewing motion and sound Events

This was released 8 months ago so its quite a long time to wait for the same solution for the other cams.
And I still cannot believe that the issues comes from the firmware itself

I have 2 V3’s, they’re the only ones without the 3001 errors.
