Enable Multiple Wyze Wi-Fi Chimes for the Wyze Duo Doorbell Camera

Wyze Team,

I’m requesting an essential enhancement for the Wyze Duo Doorbell Camera: the ability to pair multiple Wyze Wi-Fi Chimes with a single Duo Doorbell. Currently, the Duo Doorbell Camera supports only one chime connection at a time. This restriction limits functionality, especially for homes and buildings where a single chime may not reach all necessary areas, such as upstairs, in garages, or in larger layouts.

Why This Matters to Users:

  1. Coverage in Multi-Level Homes: Many users have homes with multiple floors or separate spaces where one chime isn’t sufficient for audible coverage. Adding support for multiple chimes would ensure notifications are heard throughout the home, improving response time and security.

  2. Flexibility in Larger Spaces: For users with larger properties or extended floor plans, a single chime can’t effectively cover the full space. Multi-chime support would enhance the system’s usability in bigger homes, reducing the need to rely solely on phone notifications, which might be muted or missed.

  3. Enhanced Accessibility: Multi-chime support can provide a better experience for users with accessibility needs, ensuring that notifications can be clearly heard regardless of location within the house.

  4. Seamless Integration for Multiple Users: Many households would benefit from customizable notification areas, allowing each person to be alerted in the spaces where they need it most.
Multiple chimes would make Wyze’s products even more adaptable to diverse user needs.

Given the high demand and the relatively straightforward nature of this functionality, this enhancement should be a high priority. It’s a practical, user-centered improvement that would make the Duo Doorbell system more versatile and robust for a broader range of customers.

This must be a mistake/but. I swear employees talked about how they were going to start selling these chimes separately later this winter so we could use a bunch of them in different places.

I bought 2 of these but haven’t tried to set up the second one yet. I’m really surprised to hear they limited it so the doorbell can only connect to one chime at a time.

I am going to test that now. Will report back

EDIT

Just tested, have 2 chimes hooked up to a single Duo Doorbell. One is setup as a regular doorbell sound and the other is setup as a dog barking. I rang the doorbell and both chimes alerted.

So, this request has already been met.

@adam.wolter , I will be closing this Wish item as the request is already in place.
