Doorbell V2 BUG - Sound notifications not showing Cam Plus length clips (only 12 sec clips) but other event triggers do

Hi,

Running into an issue where our Doorbell V2 is only showing 12 second clips for sound triggered events. The red 12 second circle is available to tap asking to assign Cam Plus to the doorbell. I have “restarted services” and restarted the doorbell twice with no change. I have also confirmed that the Doorbell v2 is showing on our web version subscription for Cam Plus. Since other event trigger types are capturing and displaying videos longer than 12 seconds, it’s not a priority issue for us. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

We have 5 Wyze Cam v4s, and 1 Wyze OG that work flawlessly. Thanks everyone!

Although I’m a Video Doorbell v2 :doorbell_v2: user, I don’t have an answer for you because…

  • I’m not a Cam Plus subscriber.
  • I have Sound Detection Sensitivity set to 1 because I was receiving more Sound Detected event notifications than I wanted.

I can’t replicate your issue because I’m not operating under your conditions, but I hate to see a question from a new Forum member going unanswered, so maybe chiming in will help this topic to get some visibility.

On the chance that what you’re describing is a bug, then my suggestion would be to submit a log to Wyze Support and then follow that by opening a ticket and be sure to include the log number as a reference in the ticket. Wyze’s system will send you an e-mail message after you submit a log, and this message will advise you to open a ticket; my understanding is that logs that are submitted but not linked to a ticket or other Support inroad essentially go into a black hole. :hole:
