Anyone experiencing choppy playback from the cloud on events? It just started this week when my v4s updated, before that viewing anything in the cloud was very smooth.

My v3 Cloud Event playback is smooth on the latest v3 camera firmware. Have you tried power cycling your cameras, WiFi router and modem? Also, are you on the latest Wyze App version 3.23?

@Monkeyjo Discussed here: [image] Firmware update trouble Cameras The latest firmware that supposedly solved this issue did not solve it for me. Today WYZE offered up firmware version 4.52.17.26 to both of my V4’s. No idea why as I am not a member of the BETA team. Anyway, I figured I would give the new firmware a try. It did not resolve the problem I reported elsewhere. Android App Version: 3.22.1 (979) v4 Firmware Version: 4.52.17.26 Watching a video from Events or SD shows the stutter in the video playback while using the WYZE app. If I download t…

.26 actually introduced this problem to me. Before it was perfectly fine, since updating the cameras to the firmware that fix this supposedly, it introduced it to my cameras.

For the future you may consider doing what I do. I leave Auto Updates Off on all my cameras. When new firmware is available I test it on my inside Garage camera. This is my least important camera as I only view it to make sure my garage door stays shut. If that update works well, then I update my remaining four Wyze cameras which watch the outside of my house. [IMG_1109]

That’s a very good idea. I think I’ll do that future. Thank you.

Here is a thread about choppy v3 Cloud Video from 2022. This Wyze issue is what brought me to this forum and why I update Wyze firmware and Apps the way I do. Also, maybe this old thread might help Wyze fix the current v4 choppy video issue. [image] Wyze 3 Cam skipping 1 oe 2 seconds on uploaded video recordings and playack Cameras For the last couple of months, my Cam v3 running firmware 4.36.10.2864 (up to date) is skipping always 1 or 2 seconds on each minute in uploaded notification videos and also on the playback feature. Here is an example from today, it skips from 13:18:15 to 13:18:17: This was a recording from a notification uploaded to Wyze servers. Camera has also the original SD card purchased from Wyze, and the camera was working fine long time ago, but this issue started like 2 months ago, and I …

Same here, but video plays smoothly on the Web portal (try that test), hinting at an app problem, not firmware, unless it’s how the app interacts with newly updated cams. An Android app update today didn’t fix it for me.

Not sure. App or latest camera firmware update. Started on my V4s and V3s two weeks ago when they updated.

I don’t have this issue right now, but a year or two ago we went through this with the V3 cameras where if you allowed sound to be recorded the choppy playback became smooth. I always block audio recording due to legality issues. UPDATE: Looks like Wyze just released a new Android version 3.23.2.1001
