I typically go to full screen mode on my Camv4 to keep an eye on things. My phone would typically stay “awake” as long as the video was showing.
Today, there was an update. I am now running 4.52.9.4188 and now my iPhone goes to sleep. I’ve tried my other cameras to see if their behavior changed and with others I am still able to keep my iPhone “awake” while watching the videos.
I would think keeping the video showing while watching it would be ideal. Is change in behavior a feature or bug?
I’m on android and not seeing this issue but I also got the 4188 update today.
This is probably all related to the mess from a month ago.
This snafu cost me about 20 hours of testing. That’s ok as I was involved in the screwup (I missed the prerequisite) . I was seeing issues and the only way I cured them was to flash back to PR 3415, the latest PR for this camera.
My v4’s have been on this release since then except for one unit that updated to the latest PR 5332. 5332 is a slow rollout and so far only 1 of my 5 v4’s has updated.
I’m not sure why 4188 appeared today but I believe the OP as I updated also.
Hopefully this all sorts out and @h4rper gets his iPhone updated, maybe on PR 5332.
The Cam v4 just informed me yesterday there was an update. I look at it every day. I’m not sure if this was related to an app update because I didn’t notice the app had updated. Today, everything seems to be working as expected. I can keep my Cam v4 in full screen mode and my phone isn’t going to ‘sleep’ now. Don’t know what happened yesterday.
You are not alone. I’ve seen your issue on my iPads and iPhones before and I can still make the issue happen under some scenarios even using latest firmware and app versions. When you view “full screen”, is your phone in portrait or landscape mode? I.e., are you viewing with phone upright or on its side?
