I am having an issue where the last month if I am not connected to wifi and am instead connected to me cellular network, I am unable to view any of my cameras until I am back on wifi. When I try it says they are all offline, but then magically re appear when I am connected to wifi. This has never happened before and I’ve had these cameras since the beginning. I have unlimited data on verizon with great service. Is anyone else running into this?
@coliecola Not me but plenty of other folks: I am using iPhone on iOS 17.4 and Verizon and have not had any issues yet using cell to view my 10 cameras.
No issues here either when connecting via 4G or 5G versus connecting over WiFi
Maybe it’s just one mobile carrier???
On AT&T (FirstNet) cellular here
@coliecola What cellular network are you using?
The first post says the OP has Verizon. I have Verizon here in the Bay area and I checked my cams from the golf course this morning using 4G. I just shut Wi-Fi off on my phone again and tested my cams again and I can view all.?
Verizon
Yep I missed that
@coliecola are connected via 4G or 5G?
I am on Verizon, goes between 5G and LTE.
And neither LTE (4G) or 5G work?
Do you have a VPN or anything enabled? Most likely not because it works on WiFi but worth a check
Nope none are! And nope I don’t have any VPN’s enabled.
What type of broadband are your cams connected to, and who is the provider?
I am using Xfinity here. the 2.4 network is 100 mb/s down and 23 mb/s up.
I am on Verizon and see the Fluctuation between 4GLTE and 5GUW. But I am not have any issues Streaming my cameras over Cell Service. I am also not having any issues via WiFi.
Have you tried the following:
- In the app go to Account > App Settings and then Clear Cache there.
- Log out of the App by tapping Log Out at the bottom of the Account Tab
- Reboot the Phone
- Logon and see if everything works for you.
You can also power cycle your cameras, to force them to reconnect to Wyze. Provided they are in a place you can get to.
My cameras used to load best over T-Mobile on my phone with the wifi off. Connected over home wifi, the cameras were slower with multiple connect attempts before loading.
Now the opposite is true; no cameras will connect with the phone just on cell signal, but 2 out of six cameras work if I turn on wifi.
As is always the case, I’ll wait a few weeks or months until Wyze decides to fix it, or it starts working because they broke something else.
I waited 9 months one time for things to get fixed. The cameras are fun, but only toys after all.
