Seventeen. Deletion counts as an edit, apparently.
Little known likelihood: The forum software loves edits. It’s a treasure trove for its AI hamsters who pack their cheeks with your juicy ‘pellets of revision’ and cogitate.
Write the big stuff in a text editor, boys, cut/paste into form when finished. These little monsters know too much about us already.

I believe @artglick is answering the question posed by the title of your post. In such a manner as to suggest the rest of what’s been said is immaterial. To him.
Apple devices prevent you from being rude to @artglick . @artglick is getting away with a murder Google boys would never abide.
Go Android, my friend. If you must, let your wife hold it for you.

So much great wisdom my frog friend.
I beg to differ. Apple (not directly) has put food on my table, paid for university education (US equivalent to college, I think in the US) to two of my lovely daughters, paid for all my toys, boat, snowmobile, ATV, vacation home, so far away from people that I can hear the stars hum to me.
I am a graphic designer that has his own business and employs a few good lads and gals. Putting food on their table and contributing to the community. All of that was made possible by Apple.
Apple, brought us the Laser Writer and together with another evil empire (Adobe) revolutinasied the graphics industry. Not to mention the other industries that would still be in a dark ages (DOS) if it wasn’t for them. I know, the gap between Mac OS and Windows has shrunk over the years, but us, in the graphics industry in the 80’s did not have a choice but to stick with Apple. Microsoft was way, way far behind and Google and Android were just a dreams in their founders heads. Luckily, either all or some, worked at Apple at some point in time.
I think your’e getting my point where my loyalty to Apple comes from. If you want to start a new thread about Mac vs PC (Android, Google, Alexa and all the other spinoffs of Apple, I’m game, but let me assure you it will lead to knowhere. It might turn us into enemies and we might loose some more hair, but it won’t solve anything. So, let it be, I love Apple and you love Android.
I have invested thousands of dollars in the Apple ecosystem, and I freaking love it. Maybe it makes me soft, but I don’t have to spend hours and hours to troubleshoot it. Those are hours that I’d rather spend with my family and tinker with my hobbies (Wyze cameras), instead of waisting that time and money on IT professionals and consultants to “help” solve non existing problems.
Believe me, I tried to switch to the other side (Microsoft and such) to save money, but in the long run it cost me more to hire the above mentioned professionals and consultants.
I hope you “like” my long winded post and we can still remain friends

I did not delete anything, and in fact the entire thread still appears on my screen. I have no idea what makes you think it was me.

I think that makes you the rude one, peepeep.
I apologize, Art. I took liberties for effect, no offense intended. ![]()
…I can hear the stars hum to me. Nice. ![]()
I do like your post and cheer your prosperity, brother! You chose the right horse for the race you won. I’m only playfully partisan. ![]()
Self-deleted post:
So why the hell with all the wonderful AI-ery all these geniuses are doing haven’t they developed a routine that takes something like this swallows it and vomits up a swell system diagram or schematic? That’s what AI want to know.
This is not to discount Carver’s post. Its precise, detailed text is great. He’s offering a strong written vision that’s more than useful.
But he and other volunteers are often left to speculate about critical details which Wyze could easily provide. It wastes everyone’s time to flounder about this way. And the customer ultimately suffers.
Help your community be more effective.
Provide full, deep background on your cam systems, both text and diagrammatic.
To the benefit of all.
BlueMail AI summary of above:
This email is to suggest that Wyze should provide full, deep background on their cam systems, both text and diagrammatic, to the benefit of all. This would help the community be more effective, and ultimately benefit the customer.

Kind words, Steve, thanks!
Offense was taken. I know your type. Always quick to leap without looking.
Understood.
I think you are being a bit harsh on @peepeep. His comments are always welcome on this forum as they are constructive and shrouded in a veil of sarcasm and no ill humour.
And I totally appreciate it, I know your comment about Apple making me soft was not ill intended, I do the same thing sometimes to non Apple fans as well ![]()
Here is another Wyze head scratcher. I don’t want to start a new post as this one I think should suffice.
I am attaching a screen shot that shows three cameras.
The middle camera has been offline since Feb 28th. That same camera shares a Kasa smart plug with the one below. I have power cycled the plug numerous times and the middle camera refuses to come back online. I’m guessing, it gave up the ghost for numerous reasons. Too cold, moisture getting in, who knows.
The question I have is, where is the last Feb 28, 13:31:00 screen capture comes from? Is it from Wyze servers or is it from the camera itself?
I’d like to think that the camera is still alive as it shows up in the group, but I might be wrong.
Any of you smart folks care to tell me where is the last screen shot coming from?
Thanks
Sarcasm is a tricky art. I think @artglick uses a thicker veil, but then again he is replying to @peepeep . ![]()
On the Middle Camera, when you tap on it does it actually load.
I am asking because I was seeing this while monitoring my sons cameras, but when I tapped on it, they loaded.
On Android, I could do a force stop on the app and it showed connected. On iOS, I would pull down on the Wyze App Home Screen and then check and it would work as well. I also restarted the phone and they appeared to be ok.
I now have the latest iOS Beta App: 2.40.0.6
But need to get the 2FA code so I can test this version out as well.
Stop posting pictures of cams off line . Mine was self inflicted by moving the USB cord a little the other day and pulled it out of the KASA plug. Just saw this today ![]()
Not sure what is your point?

No, it does not load.

I hear you, but the behaviour is the same on my iPhone, iPad and MacOS.

Been there, done that.

Same here.
The question remains, where is the last screen shot of working camera time stamped 2023-02-28 13:31:00 comes from? Wyze servers or camera?
Yeah, easier said than done. The camera in question is 600Km away. To get to it I need to snowshoe down hill a kilometre in a four feet of snow. Not doing that just to wiggle on the USB cable ![]()
As I said earlier, the question remains, where is the last camera view time stamped 2023-02-28 13:31:00 comes from? Wyze server or camera?
