I have Wyze Flood light V3 camera that is not a part of the service. It has an SD card and I expect it to record video of person/motion. But does not notify me via the Wyze app v3.10.5. it keeps showing the online service which I don’t need.. I’d like the app to notify me of the video without signing up for the service. Is that possible? If yes, what are the exact steps.
Looking forward to a prompt reply.

Without a paid subscription like Cam Plus you won’t get any Person/Pet/Package/Vehicle notifications. I assume you are just getting Motion notifications. No pay, no play, sorry.
You don’t need a subscription to get notifications (max 1 every 5 mins) but you do need it if you want it to tag/filter them as people/package/pet/vehicle etc, or if you want more than one every 5 mins.
The default settings should notify you of any motion, as long as you granted the app notification permissions. However I see you tagged “web view” which is also only available to subscribers, are you using the android or IOS app?
I’m curious about what product you’re actually using. Is it Cam Floodlight v1, which essentially has a Cam v3 as its camera and a USB-A port for connecting an additional Cam v3? Your description and the topics you chose aren’t really making this clear.
If you’re not currently seeing the expected result for motion notifications (you also mentioned “person”, and, as the others here have noted, that’s a “Smart Detection” that requires a subscription), then sharing information about your current settings—both within the Wyze app and at the Android “App info” level—would be useful. Screenshots can be particularly helpful when troubleshooting settings issues.
I believe you have a Cam Floodlight v1, which I understand to be a Cam v3 integrated into Wyze’s first-generation floodlight. I don’t own any of the Cam v3 products, but I’ll try to give what I think are answers to your questions. Someone who actually has Cam v3 and/or Cam Floodlight v1 can correct me as needed.
If you actually have events recorded to microSD, then you have a couple of pathways from the Home screen:
Tap the Cam’s tile to enter its Live Stream screen, then tap SD Card in the control strip below the live view pane. (See Recent App UI Changes for relevant pictures.)
Tap Events in the bottom strip (next to Home), then tap a thumbnail image on the Events screen. If you then tap the button to try to view the event, the app will prompt you to subscribe. Instead, you should tab the SD Card icon to navigate to that section of the Cam’s UI. If the SD Card icon is not visible, then tap a blank area of the screen to activate the control icons overlay.
Either method should get you to the microSD card recording playback timeline, which you can zoom in (2-finger spread gesture) or out (pinch), and which should show generic Motion or Sound event markers (green/teal circles), depending on how you have the Cam configured.
How do you have the Cam configured? For Cam v4, I’d want to know about a couple of areas; I imagine that Cam v3 is similar following last year’s UI changes, but I’m not certain:
Settings ➜ MicroSD Card (I tend to set this for Continuous.)
Settings ➜ Event Recording (Do you have Motion and/or Sound toggled on?)
Again, you won’t receive Person notifications without a subscription. You should receive generic motion notifications if you have these sorts of things set appropriately:
From the Cam’s Live Stream screen:
Settings ➜ Event Recording ➜ Motion
Settings ➜ Event Recording ➜ All Events ➜ Customize Detections ➜ Other Motion ➜ Notify
Long-press the Wyze app launcher icon, then select App info from the pop-up menu, then tap Notifications and make sure all of your preferred OS-level notifications settings are enabled.
All of this should allow you to receive the same sorts of push notifications from the Wyze app that you might already be seeing from other connected apps. While you’re navigating App info settings, you may also want to check things like Permissions or App battery usage (consider using Unrestricted instead of Optimized) if you’re finding that notifications don’t seem as reliable or timely as you’d expect.
