I have a simple question that Google and other search engines can’t seem to come up with.
Namely, downloading multiple files at once and then splicing them together.
I have some events that get broken up into 30 second to 3 minute chunks and it makes it difficult to download an event or occurrence when you have 40 or so clips. Going one to another to another on Android and DLing each by itself is draconian at best.
So, is there a way to get into a camera timeline, select a range, and download it? Also, are there any simple programs that can splice them all together (I don’t need editing or filters or anything special).
Anything would be greatly appreciated or I will be stuck scrolling and DLing for at least an hour today.
The easiest will be to pull the card and grab the files you need. If you just want to join them together, something like MP4 joiner should work. If you want to edit them, even basic video editing software should support importing multiple clips, editing, then producing one final file.
Technically you can do this by using the “record” feature in the app (or download if you’re talking about cam plus clips) just going to be more time consuming than grabbing files off the card, and there is a bit of a quality loss too.

One of the Forum Mavens created a tool:
Others are available. I’ve used FFmpeg for this. Like @dave27 said, though, those kinds of things require pulling the microSD card for direct access to the 1-minute video files. That may or may not be practical depending on where/how you have your cameras mounted/positioned, but it’s likely to give the best final result.
