Automation/Shortcuts

The problem is that the Wyze app doesn’t currently do multi-user Geofencing nor conditional operators for the automation rules.

You could do most of this through Google Home. It will allow location conditions based on whether everyone is away or anyone is home. But Wyze has only enabled power on and power off entities for Google Home to control. On the bright side, if the camera power is turned off, then obviously there are no notifications or motion to be detected anyway. Problem solved. This is probably the easiest solution for you and the one I would highly recommend. Install Google Home on the phone of everyone in your household, allow it to monitor your phone location automatically all the time, link your Wyze account to Google Home, then set up an automation to trigger turning on the power to the camera when you leave home with the condition that it only happens when EVERYONE is away from home. Then set up another automation to turn the power back off anytime ANY of you are home (you, or your wife).

There are alternative ways to do this through things like Home Assistant (this is my preference), but I think you will be happiest using Google Home. It does support multi-user location tracking, and Wyze does not despite Wyze saying this feature has been in progress since the launch of the Home Monitoring System, and it’s been requested basically since they were founded. Here is the official wishlist to vote for it:

At this point I am not sure I believe they are still working on it because it’s been a few years now since they last told us it was in progress. I think it got de-prioritized.
