I have a single Wyze floodlight cam over the garage and annual Cam Plus subscription paid thru August 2025. The camera will not arm. App goes to the Cam Unlimited sign up. I don’t want or need Unlimited. I have tried many suggested fixes to no avail. Camera is currently worthless. Any help is appreciated!
Can you elaborate on what you mean by arming the camera?
Arming a camera has usually been associated with the following:
- Cam Protect (mostly designed for indoor cams to watch entrances)
- HMS subscription security camera feature (gives special alerts when HMS is armed)
- Monitoring tab Arm/Disarm feature limited to Cam Unlimited subscribers (mostly turns notifications on or off
If you’re trying to use number 3 in the monitoring tab but don’t have Cam unlimited, that’s probably the issue. The good news is that you can still do it all yourself without the monitoring tab. You can set to schedules of when you want notifications to turn on and off for each camera. You can even set it up to automatically turn on when you leave the house. You can also setup a “shortcut” to turn notifications on and a shortcut to turn them off and that’s the same thing as the monitoring tab armed or disarmed for Cam unlimited users anyway. I’d just suggest doing that. Then save those shortcuts to your favorites page for easy access.
