I agree with @ssummerlin that this is something Wyze needs to address, and I wonder if any @Mavens could put a bug in someone’s ear, because it doesn’t make sense to me that you wouldn’t be able to install this if you’re running a recent version of full Android (in contrast with “Android Go”) on your phone. I really don’t know why such a device would be excluded—the devices mentioned in this topic and those mentioned in the topics linked to the initial post.
In the meantime, you may have to try something like what @raffy.kopec suggested, though I’d be more inclined to grab a v2.5x download from APKMirror. Forum Maven @carverofchoice posted a walk-through of that recently that might be useful if you’re unfamiliar with the process:
