Time lapse still seems broke, I tried a long time lapse, started about 1130 stopped it about 2130.
It predicted to be 1.9GB. Attempting to download it bombed at about 21%. showing a time of about 1625.
The device still had 3.5GB of memory free.
Before I was getting downloads of about 800Mb.

Ran another time lapse with default setting- 3 seconds for about 7 hours, this one downloaded fine, created a file of 605 Mb.

Ran another w/ default settings for about 10 hours, predicted file size 1.2GB bombed at 502 Gb
How are notifications for android users doing? I feel like person detection notifications come in way later. I just got now that was recorded 15 minutes ago.

I have 2.4 beta and V2 with fw 4.9.4.90 and a pan with fw 4.10.3.90. I have person detection enabled and I don’t get any notifications. Not even for motion or sounds.
Verify that. Will delete all but won’t show the, checked.
My V2 running RTSP updated FW to 4.19.4.48 and has person detection now.
Looks like my topic was sent through the blender and appended to this thread instead of being able to narrow in on the person/vehicle tagging issues.
Since the firmware and app updates ONLY person tagging is now selectable and is currently selected, however since doing so and not changing any other settings, “People” events are nearly non-existent even for the camera pointing at my street where people very often walk down the sidewalk.
Also, the SD card is set to record on event, but motion events don’t seem to be recording as often as before and certainly NOT for people. Only the 12sec cloud recording for the people events seem to be happening which is a rarity in itself.
The previous people/vehicle tagging seemed to be much more functional!
Possibly turn your detection area on to the full screen then up your sensitivity settings to max and see what happens?
Sorry, I’m unable to send a log. Just says Loading right in the middle of the screen after hitting Submit. Crashes after that.
Could we also get a bigger image when the notification is expanded like the Amazon app? Also the notification thumbnails are still buggy. Sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn’t.
Maybe I missed it, but what if it fails to detect a person? Where/how do we send that along?
Example: Somebody going into the house triggers a Person detection and gets a share to wyze button on the video, but somebody coming out of the house does not trigger Person detection. You get a video due to motion and noise, but no share to wyze button to log the missed Person detection.
I now have firmware 4.9.4.90 on two v2s and 4.10.3.90 on one Pan and now have app v2.4.50 on iOS. I have noticed that person detection is still not completely reliable. It seems to randomly not record and then does record when I clearly walk by the camera in normal clear sky/dry conditions during the day. When I am testing it I will wait for the cool down period to end before walking by the camera and I still get mixed results. Not sure what is wrong, My Wifi connection has always been in the upper 80% and mid 90% range on all cameras. Also, I wish they would change the annoying detection zone from a box shape to a dynamic irregular polygon shape but I know that discussion is for and is in another thread/forum area altogether. I agree with #wesochuck’s question in asking about whether or not setting the camera to ONLY RECORD events from Person detection will be an option. Leaving it currently set to record all motion events still allows the unwanted opportunity of missing a Person detection event because of the cool down period constantly getting reset from recording a bunch of non sense motion events…not good. Being able to turn off the “All other motion” notifications is a wonderful start in the current firmware/app but there needs to be the same toggles for recording events, not just notifications.
Also, to me it seemed like the “Wyze Service” Person Detection feature was a bit cumbersome to activate. It is hidden under the Account tab and seemed like you had to just know that it was there in order to activate it and turn it on. I can foresee a lot of NON tech savy people who buy their Wyze cams for the first time completely/accidentally missing out on that feature. Having the ability to easily see that Wyze Service/Person Detection can be turned on can make a difference as to whether or not someone will return their Wyze cam or not, i.e. getting non sense motion notifications all day long instead of person detection notifications.
Click on the video, then on the bottom right corner, click the green Share button. It’ll bring up a pop-up window with 3 options: I saw a person, I didn’t see a person, and Cancel.
Maybe the Person detection is kind of iffy because I placed one V2 behind the window, so it detect people walking by 50% of the time. Whereas the other V2 is placed in the bedroom, it’ll consistently detect people.

The issue is definitely NOT FIXED for larger time lapses.
Whereas I HAD been able to get time lapses with record.h264 files up to 1.5GB with FW 4.9.4.33 now the largest is around 700MB, and it frequently bombs around 300 MB or less.
What parameters are critical? Should I try a U3 SD card? Change my network? Get a more powerful USB power supply than the one delivered with the camera?
I get that, what I’m saying is, that sometimes that share button isn’t there if it didn’t see a person.
I only have that when the video is triggered by a motion sensor event. Motion detection triggered by the cam so far has been consistent.
Update. I recently checked the signal strength again and now it shows 1 bar. I decided then to relocate the camera inside the garage, at the back, looking at the door. The idea is that if the sensor ever shows the door being left open, I can open the cam up and see if it’s true. The sensor and the Cam are less then 20 feet from each other. I now get 2 bars of strength and over the last week this has been in place, no false alerts on the door sensor at all! But, moving these devices close to each other with a line of sight, sort of eliminates the attraction of the sensors, you could just as well rely on the cam to provide door open alerts. Maybe if you are monitoring lots of doors in an open area, the sensors are a good idea, but if you have go through walls or floors between the sensor or cam, it’s too unreliable in my house. My previous location for the camera was actually less than the current 20 feet but it went through a floor to the room above the garage…
it has to do with the materials it has to go through. I have a sensor on my metal garage door and I haven’t had a single issue with it yet. and thats on that metal door, through 3 walls at about 35 feet. and it reads as having 3 bars for signal.
the pir sensor I have outside my garage door, ( about and extra foot in distance and on the far side of that metal door) had 2 bars.
different materials can have surprising effects. also any electrical interference you might have as well.
