Interesting. Any backstory on this? What caused the fire outside? It looks like they run TOWARD the fire where they had to “feel the heat on their back” instead of heading to a different exit that would be safely away from the fire. :thinking: But without being there in person, it’s hard to tell how close or how safe the front door exit actually was, and it seems everything turned out fine, so good for her. I’m sure the parents have huge faith in their babysitter now!

That is some better context, so the fire was between that house and the neighbor house, so off to the side more. In that case, it wouldn’t have been better to go out the back door or something which may have been almost just as close to the fire, and at least the front likely isn’t fenced in (it would be hard to get 2 toddlers free if the back is fenced in). From the video it just seemed like they were almost running straight toward the fire, which would not be my first thought.

I wish the Wyze video clip could have continued longer than what was shown. We might have seen them running past the flag outside the window which appeared to not be on fire.

I am glad the babysitter was recognized for her quick thinking.
