Wyze White Bulbs (2019 Version) No Longer Working When Re-Added to App

I currently have 24 Wyze lightbulbs (6 color bulbs and 18 2019 version white bulbs). All 2019 version bulbs currently have the Firmware Version 1.2.0.384 applied. After recently upgrading my netgear router, 8 of my 18 2019 version bulbs stopped functioning and went offline. I removed the effective devices and have tried to re-add them for their continued use. However, after the effected devices are added I am unable to control them via the Wyze app. I have made multiple phonecalls to Wyze Technical support regarding this issue but the issue has largely been ignored with “the phone wizards” general stating that my tickets would be escaladed for further research. The one wizard even had me send a log but today I have heard nothing more than a couple of emails stating that technical support has not heard back from me which is COMPLETELY false. Based on my experiences, I gotta tell ya I am beginning to suspect that this is Wyze’s way of getting longtime customers to buy more of their updated products so that they no longer have to support their legacy products. It leaves a very sour taste in my mouth.

Given my outstanding issue and receiving no valuable assistance thru Technical support, I did some searching of the Wyze Community and I now see that I am not alone as others have had this same issue since as far back as 2024. I called this evening and spoke to another representative and asked the question, “Does Wyze plan to further support their 2019 bulbs as issues come up like this or is this the company’s way to get their consumer base to buy updates to their product?” I didn’t get a “YES” but I didn’t exactly get a definite “NO” either. I wish the company would just be transparent and helpful as I now know that I am not alone in my issue as described.

Upgrading is certainly the most time and energy efficient approach in many cases. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
