Wyze Video Doorbell Pro + Wyze Door Lock Bolt Accessory setup

I’ve been trying to attach my new Wyze Lock Bolt as an accessory to the Video Doorbell Pro, but it simply doesn’t save. It looks like it’s about to complete the setup, but does not save the changes.

I have a log for review: 1806355

I have the same exact issue.
Wyze Lock Bolt (The one with fingerprint and keypad) and Doorbell Pro with Chime.
I click on add accessory, the lock shows up and I select it, then the screen loads and shows it as selected. Then when I click the back button it shows no accessories connected..

I am having the same issue

@helenclarko, have you been able to make any progress with this? What did Support say when you contacted them?

I don’t have either of these specific products, but I’m trying to get some more eyes on this issue.

Welcome to the Forum, @Camerahinge and @matthewjohnunderwood!

I am having the same issue, mine was working for about a year and it stopped. The resolution was to reset it, now I can’t add it back.

Support said it was being invested and closed the ticket.

Any suggestions from anyone?

Same issue, any answers yet?

Nope, support said they were investing on April 5. When I asked for an update on the 15th, the ticket had already been closed.

Still not working and no follow-up.

I have sent this issue up to the team, anyone having this issue, could you try linking them again and if it fails submit a log and give me the log number so we can determine why it is failing.

Thank you!

@WyzeJasonJ it failed again, log file 1825724. Thank you for looking into this.

Thank you for the log, we believe we have found the issue. We are aiming to have this fixed for the 3.5 app release.

Hi!

I just joined the android beta program to see if there’s been a fix but even in the 3. 5 beta this feature is still broken.

I replaced my old doorbell with the doorbell pro just for this feature and it has been broken ever since I hot the doorbell..

Add me to the list. Huge waste of time and effort to replace existing “smart” lock and video doorbell in an attempt to get all my things on one ecosystem - looks like I may have picked a loser.

As @WyzeJasonJ noted above:

A release candidate for that version of the app has been available for over a week:

I don’t see any comments in that topic specifically related to the lock issue, so if you’re feeling adventurous you could join the beta program and try out that version of the app, and if you choose to do that then hopefully you’ll return and share your findings in the RC topic.

Installed 3.2.2. from APKPure and the lock connected. Unlock works but the icon on he Doorbell screen remains the same (i.e. closed lock). Pressing it again only provides a short “unlocked” message. Enrolling in beta to see how that works.

Don’t waste your time, I’m on the 3.5.0 beta and it hasn’t changed anything.
Also tried to get it working through an iPhone but surprisingly the iPhone doesn’t even have it as an option yet.

Beta installed and updated firmware on doorbell. The lock still “shows” but pressing the lock icon does nothing - icon just pulsates.

I ordered a combo lock/video doorbell from Tapo (TP-Link) - actually ended up being cheaper than the Wyze combo. If there’s not a fix by the time the Tapo arrives, I’ll just uninstall the Wyze lock and doorbell, toss them in a ziplock bad and return them to Amazon as defective.

Wyze NEEDS to update their ads to remove the WiFi “functionality” as it does not exist at this time.

You might be onto something.

Dropping to 3.2.2 gets the accessory into the Wyze app. From there I can upgrade to the latest Wyze app and it remains attached.

Something broke between 3.2.2 and 3.5.0 (My beta).

EDIT:
I see the follow up issue now is that it just flashes and doesn’t actually do anything.

My Tapo lock and doorbell arrived today and I’ll be replacing the Wyze tonight and returning to Amazon for a refund.
