Had a wise V3 cam that had gotten a software push from Wyze
It appears that the software push has failed and now the cam will not restart will not update. We’re not connected to the Internet to allow me to reset it. It will not reset. This is basically frozen.
This is the second time I’ve gotten a software push from Wyze that is locked up a camera
What do you mean a ‘software push’? Did you have Automatic Updates turned on for that camera, if not, it requires you to accept the firmware update by pressing a button. Also, have you contacted support about this?
No, I did not have automatic updates. And yes, I did accept an update. That’s what froze my camera to wear her down. It will not connect. I attempted to do the firmware update as you stated by moving the Ben file to an MTS card and holding the set up button while I powered over the SD card it went through what appeared to be a cycle, but after 20 minutes, it never sent me status lights to blue and never did reconnect camera to the network because it’s that time this has happened with Y software so from now on I will not accept updates. No, I have not contacted Wyze because the last time they told me my camera was over a year old, which to me is an unacceptable response.
Red/blue blinking means it is trying to connect to wifi. Try removing the SD card, doing a factory reset, and adding it via the app now, the firmware may have “taken” but your settings may be corrupt now.
Another option is to try flashing the previous firmware that you had instead of the latest, maybe the latest has caused some bug or incompatibility with your wifi.
