Wyze Trade-In Program Survey - 8/15/2023

Darn. Wish I could trade in all of my V2’s and my pan cam V1. Only thing on this list that I have is the outdoor V1.

That’s what the Trade-In program is.

Me too! I have over a dozen V2’s and several V1 Pan’s, one Pan has never been used and still in the box.

You’d probably get a lot more selling that online on eBay or something similar than going through a trade-in program. I just checked ebay and a few brand new Pan v1’s sold as recently as last week for as much as $40 (with shipping included), or lots of others for around $30 plus shipping costs. I can almost guarantee that a trade-in for a Pan v1 will not give you that good of a deal even if it is brand new. If you sold it on ebay, you could basically cover the ENTIRE cost of a new Pan v3 at $33.99. Kind of crazy that many Pan v1’s that are indoor only, are selling online for more than cost of a new Pan v3 which is weather proofed.

My V1 pan is still unopened too. And i just finally installed my original Wyze doorbell. Still have to install my security hub and sensors that I got on release: I still have the old dead ones in place.

The problem with selling on eBay, which I used to do many years ago, is that the shipping cost can kill your sale as it’s gone up so much. But I hear what you are saying, although sometimes it’s easier to take the trade in loss to save on the hassle, like when trading in a vehicle. I know I’d easily trade my cameras into Wyze to get an upgraded camera, but only if they covered the cost to ship my cameras to them. If not then I might as well try to sell them on eBay.

Great idea because products get better day-by-day and trade-in will help to keep devices at the latest upgrade features.

I have a couple of Outdoor V1s I’d gladly trade for OGs. The V1s don’t display properly on my Google Nest, and Wyze’s inferior web view site doesn’t display them either.

Hi Aman,
I only have Wyze Cam v3s, and they’ve been remarkably sturdy in severe weather—we’re talking thunderstorms, wind storms, being blown off of buildings, temperatures at -20 degrees F. The lenses haven’t held up well though—one is now quite scratched and foggy, so it is relegated to the simplest duty possible. One of the four Spotlights has failed. One of the power cables has failed. My biggest issue continues to be that there’s NO NOTIIFICATION when the cameras go offline. I have to look at EVERY CAMERA FEED to see whether it is still working. Please see what you can do to fix this.

I hope you’ll include Wyze Bulbs White in the trade-in. I have four of these and NONE of them work properly. I have to tell them to turn on or off a dozen or two dozen times before they respond. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling them to no avail.

Nice. I def want to trade in my outdoor v2, which isnt that great, for the new outdoor cam.

I purchased 2 Pan v2 just before they came out with the v3 - which I purchased. The v2’s are still in their original boxes, and I would love to upgrade to v3’s.
