Wyze thermostat temperature off

One of the ways I learned to determine if the App was showing me the Thermostat room temp or the Average temp of both Thermostat room and Remote Sensor room was to look to see what the App display was telling me:

My thermostat is named “Wyze Thermostat” in the app:

The images provided by @SlabSlayer are from the App and not the actual T-Stat screen. The T-Stat screen will show the temp at that location and not the average in the home.

If it says “Home” the app is showing you the average of the temps of the 1) room the T-stat is in and 2) rooms of all included sensors.

If it says the name of the thermostat, it is ONLY showing you the room the thermostat is in and should match the unit display.

KEY here: Don’t name your thermostat Home!

Yes. As @spamoni stated… This is ONLY the app. The wall unit showing “Home” is it’s state (Home\Away\Sleep)

True, my is named Hallway as it is in the hallway.

If you want it to be consistent, at all times, turn off the Motion Sensing Comfort, this will always use the Remote sensor in all schedules you have set. Currently it looks like you are using Home and Night to include the Remote sensor.

It is showing that because you have included the room sensor in both Home and Night mode. Plus you have it set to be included when there is motion. So no motion for about 30 minutes (I believe) will remove it from the average formula.

Got to find it first  \

What @spamoni said☝️. If your app is moving in and out from T-stat temp to Average (Home), it may be because the Auto Comfort is on and sensing motion.

I bought one to test it out and found it to be quite complicated in it’s function. There are still questions about it that I have yet to find an answer.

I stopped at one as well. Until I can prioritize sensors, that is where it will stay.

These have no ability to do zone control like you hoped. All they can do is average with the T-stat full time or with motion to set your measured environment temp.

 I bought 8

I use one in my comfort control (the family room in the summer) and will use my office in the winter. I have all but 2 hooked up as that is the max.

Yea, you can remove it from your Comfort control to ensure your T-Stat is controlling everything.

I am hoping I can use a remote sensor as my primary T-Stat and use the T-Stat as a remote temp sensor when I want. Ecobee does this

I use mine in my bedroom at night since it is a smidge hotter there in the summer. Instead of bumping the T-stat set temp down in sleep mode, the room sensor does that for me by bumping the measured temp up.
