I had set it up like this, not my photo and it did not kick on the heater and was blowing just the fan. I took it all out, set up my old one and blows hot air fine now. Need some help on what I should set it to.
settings>advanced>switch hot and cool
Hi
Do you know whether you have a heat pump or conventional system? You will need to use the label based on your system type when you have two lines of terminal names on your honeywell thermostat (conventional and heat pump)
@Chuan is correct. If you have a heat pump system, which it looks like you do, you’ll need to use the bottom labels.

Thanks for getting back to me! Didn’t see the two label versions! Not very aware on my part.
Yes, it does seem that it’s usually user error…as it was in this case.
However, I ran into a second issue once that was fixed. Apparently, Rheem heat pumps are reversed in the heat/cool switch and need to be reversed in the Wyze app. I have a Rheem so I had a bit of frustration until I found that in the discussion further down. Working great now! Thanks!!
Hi. Did you find a solution? I have the same issue.
Look like I have similar issue with heating. I wanted to change one of my 2 thermostats to Wyze but the heating does now work.
Currently I have:
Honeywell TH411OU2005
RHEEM RH1T3617STANJA
Here is my old wiring:
I did the wiring on Wyze according to APP but the heating does not work.
What I’m missing here ? Look like there is W1 and W2 and I connected them same.
All help appreciated
I have same setup on 1st and 2nd floor (same RHEEM units one in garage, one on 2nd floor next thermostat).
The Wyze app showed me to connect W1 to W1 and W2 to W2. I did that but still nothing with heating.
Show your air handler board wiring.
We need to see how your wires coming from the thermostat are connected to the terminals on the air handler side
These diagrams are nice, but they don’t help when trying to troubleshoot ![]()
Look like both White wires W1 and W2 from P1 are being “breached” into one white cable.

Outside unit
Here are the pics of the outside equipment.
The thermostat downstairs has same wiring. I will try to make a picture of cabling of the unit in the garage.
Garage is - RHEEM RH1T2417STANJA
Upstairs is RHEEM RH1T3617STANJA
Here is one more picture of the Unit 2:
I can make a better one in few minutes.
You have 2 thermostats attached to one unit? What does the wiring for the non-wyze one look like?
It looks like the brown wire you have in the W1 terminal just goes back to the other thermostat, unless you have a heat pump and not another thermostat wired in parallel.
Show pictures of your outdoor unit if you’re not sure if it is a heat pump, otherwise if you do have a heat pump, your W1 wire is actually an O/B wire and you need to reset your wyze and re-add it, going through setup again and telling it you have the following wires:
Y1 > yellow
Rc > red
O/B > brown
Aux > white
G > green
C > blue
The number 2 outdoor unit is definitely a heat pump. I cant quite make out the model numbers in the larger image, but i can see that the energy rating label includes both a heating and cooling number.

Number 2 unit detail image:

The Rheem RP15 is a heat pump.
I’d be willing to bet the brown wire should be an O/B wire, from the way the air handler is wired and the stickers on this unit. Try resetting your wyze by holding down the button and removing it from the app and re- adding it, telling it your “old thermostat” has the wires as listed in my other post.
During testing, the heat and cool functions might be reversed, just go into settings>advanced>swap heat and cool to fix it.
Also, if you just edit your post, there’s no way for me to know that you have updated the information, the forum doesn’t notify me, it is better to reply if you can or like my post or private message me.
I will try to check this week / was a bit busy.
Thanks for all you help !!
