Wyze thermostat not heating right. Is the W2 or w1

It has come on a couple times today but the screen doesn’t let me know if it’s the heat pump or the heat strips.

It still thinks you have W1 & W2 installed but can’t detect it.

Press the dial in and hold it for 10 seconds to access the reset feature. Then start over.

My thermostats during the test on when it hit stage 2 it had no heat. That was why I original posted my question.

I did this… The device is still registered in the wyze app and not allowing be to delete because it wont go past the wire detection screen. How can i fix this issue?

So, I am at the Personal part of the setup and the device wont connect ( bc i reset it on the Thermostat) I am not able to Delete from the app to try and pair again… This well need a work around in the future… You should be able to skip all this and be able to delete from the items list.

Okay Brian, Thanks for all the help… I’m not sure what the issue is… I had a Honeywell 958 Smart Thermostat that worked with the hear pump… I was able to connect and get the AC to work but i am unable to get the Heat Pump to… I have White in W1 and Orange in O. However, in the system check it is still saying I am missing the W1 and W2 wires… I have reset the Thermostat already once after changing the wires around. So i stumped… Not sure what to do… I guess ill put My Honeywell back on till more info comes out about Heat pumps looks like that might be an issue for the Wyze Thermostat… Overall everything looks awesome about this product like all your stuff! Keep up the good work! You all rock…

Switched wires as instructed. Reset device and set up went fine.
System has been running since then… about 90 minutes. It hasn’t brought up the temperature. Doesn’t seem to be blowing hot air properly. Help?

Your wiring is correct, there must be something misconfigured in the thermostat during setup. What model heat pump is it? Some heat pumps require Y & O to energize heat instead of just Y. There is a Switch Heat and Cool toggle in the app settings.

What type of system do you have?

Hi your wiring is correct in the Wyze thermostat.

And your thermostat wiring?

Goodmen heatpump

And here is my air handler

@dustin.ventura Typically Rheem/Ruud systems are swapped from other systems and require Y & O to be energized for Heat, not Y & O energized for Cool. In the Wyze app, look for the Switch Heat & Cool toggle and try the test again.

i am the same just my C wire is blue not black

It seems to all be working. Thank you Brian - I was about to give up and then you saved my day. Thanks again!

Great to hear, be sure to mark this thread as solved so other users can find this solution.

I did several configurations, none seemed to blow hot air out. I have this set up on the existing thermostat
