I haven’t voted for this one before today, and this has probably already been mentioned in this topic, but I didn’t see it previously mentioned in the newer related Wyze News topic:
That seems like it would be a straightforward and probably fairly common use case.
I keep my cams on 24/7 whether I’m home or not. I would have no need for such a button, but if others like the idea, I’m certainly not against it. I would not use it.
I could see some people wanting to use it as a sort of panic button to setup an automation that when they press the button when feeling unsafe, it turns on the siren on every camera simultaneously. The visitors wouldn’t know it wasn’t a real alarm system or whether others/police dispatch were contacted. They would just know it was sirens and drawing attention for help. I could see this giving some people peace of mind in that way even if they only have cameras and leave them on 24/7.
