I have sensor bridge on a CamPan v1 since more than 6 years working fine beyond some interruptions for some days in all these years, last May 5 is the last recorded actions of my door sensors, I tried reconfiguring all the sensors, reinstalling the bridge board in my CamPan v1 but sensors with new batteries keep on showing 3 blinks, the APP cannot command the rear light in the bridge board as I did until all this stop working, Is there any information regarding to these sensors and board whether is still operative?? I hope so because if they stop supporting a product after only a few years I wil loose all the money I invested in door and PIR sensors, I had read the new Sensor HUB is not compatible with the old first generation sensors used with the sensor bridge.
I thank for any informaiton I’m not located in the USA as to be able to phone Wyze because the stupid AI assistant tell me contradictory things, first make me do all the reconfiguration procedures something I already did several times, later it tell me these are not supported anymore, ridiculous.
I sill keep my old “robot” cameras that you can connect directly to your home’s IP address:port, unfortunately the new models being sold depends in all this [MOD EDIT] online services to be able to connect, if WYZE company dissappear (something not impossible reading the history) all their cameras will convert in useless pieces of plastic and electronics.
I’m not happy thinking al lmy video streams are going through thier servers in AWS, you don’t know who can access there, I’m of the idea of a Point to Point security cameras
Any information will be welcome, living in the age of the communications, I miss the old days when you could write an email or do a phone call or chat to talk to real persons that usually worry about to solve your problems, is the age of the wasted resources and no solutions, only CASH in their accounts
I can speak from experience that the V1 Sensors do work with the New Hub. However, if the batteries run out in the V1 Sensors, that tends to brick the sensor so at that point the sensors are no longer usable.
Also, I am not sure, but believe the Wyze Bridge worked in the V2 Camera, not sure it worked in the Cam Pan V1. Could be wrong though
I don’t have V1 cameras only a Cam Pan V1 and the bridge is installed there, but I’m still waiting for a tech support reply concerning whether the Bridge is still working with Wyze servers or have been killed, I have spent a lot of time and money in new batteries and I have no success, sent ticket by the app but no action and several weeks have gone.. months.
In the same way Wyze uses the APP to inform with small picture icons that a new product have been released, they should also inform all the changes and products affected, if some product will be killed, they should inform the users in the APP several weeks or months before, remember are SECURITY products, in many situations the security of your family and objects is depending on that security device that should inform you about an event, if you have been using for years and suddenly it stops, there is no way to know whether it will be in the moment you most needed that device to be working, if you were notified about the product that will be killed, at least you can move to another solution with enough time. Probably a different manufacturer…
I can confirm that the bridge was officially designed [and advertised] to work in the pan v1 also. I used to run mine in the pan v1 but it was a little less reliable when used that way. Sometimes it caused my pan v1 to get really hot and I would experience increased connectivity issues (for both the pan v1 and the sensors), so I kept switching the bridge back to v2 cams.
